Job Context:
∎ Friendship Secondary Education Programme commence in 2015 in the Chars of Gaibandha and Kurigram districts. It is a computer aided program which is powered by solar energy. Lessons imparted by highly qualified teachers of nationally reputed schools at Dhaka are recorded in our studio. These lessons are then projected in class, facilitated by locally enrolled facilitators who are primarily responsible classroom management and address basic queries.
∎ Recently Government of Bangladesh has reviewed the National Textbook Curriculum for which we need to rerecord lessons conforming the new curriculum. In this backdrop, Friendship invites subject based teachers to apply for the recording of these video lessons.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Deliver and record subject-based video lesson on secondary curriculum by using appropriate method of instruction (Please note that, this is not a fulltime opportunity. You have to come to our office once/twice a week, and record video classes/ conduct live classes)
∎ The selected candidate/teachers shall have to perform following tasks,
∎ Preparing lesson plan for respective classes (Bangla/ English/ Math/ Science/ Social Science/ Geography/ ICT/ Agriculture etc.)
∎ Preparing materials such as, Power Point Slides, Poster etc. as per requirement of the class
∎ Recording video lessons (each lesson will be 20-minute-long)
∎ Conducting 1 hour long live class with students of Friendship Secondary Schools (as required), specially take questions
∎ Preparing question papers on respective subject for periodic exams (as required)
∎ Checking answer sheets of examination/ assignments for respective subject (as required)
∎ Facilitating capacity building training for classroom facilitator (as required)
∎ Knowing and getting familiar with students in chars and their abilities and difficulties through field visits
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 45 years
∎ Minimum 2 years of experience of teaching in a government approved secondary school
∎ Sound knowledge in technology and has the ability to prepare interactive PowerPoint presentation
∎ Have sound knowledge on NCTB curriculum and creative question pattern
∎ Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical terms lucidly and child friendly way
∎ Committed to deliver and record at least 5 video lesson per week
