  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in project operations, programme implementation and monitoring. NGO/INGO, development, climate adaptation, resilience, or environmental sector.

  • Additional Job Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge of project operations, programme implementation, and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E).

  • Good understanding of climate adaptation, resilience, environmental sustainability, and evidence-based programming.

  • Knowledge of project cycle management, donor compliance, and reporting requirements.

  • Familiarity with Management Information Systems (MIS) and data quality assurance processes.

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

It delivers climate-smart services, promotes resilient technologies, and strengthens partnerships to enhance the resilience and livelihoods of vulnerable communities through BRAC's ecosystem and external partners.

Position: Senior Officer, Operations and Monitoring

Job Purpose: The Senior Officer, Operations and Monitoring will support the efficient implementation and operational management of the Regional Adaptation Clinic. The role will monitor project progress, track performance against plans and key indicators, and ensure compliance with organizational and donor requirements. The incumbent will coordinate operational activities, maintain project documentation, and support timely reporting. The position will facilitate collaboration among project teams and partners to ensure smooth implementation. The role will contribute to operational excellence, evidence generation, and the successful delivery of climate adaptation initiatives.

Job Location : Kalapara, Patuakhali; Batiaghata, Khulna; Morrelganj, Bagerhat; Derai, Sunamgonj; Dewangonj, Jamalpur; Sapahar, Naogaon; Rangamati and Dinajpur.

Others: This is a contractual position with an initial contract period of one year. The contract may be extended based on satisfactory performance, project requirements, and the availability of project funding.

Job Description:

  • Support the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of project activities to ensure timely delivery of outputs in line with approved work plans, quality standards, and donor requirements.

  • Conduct regular field monitoring visits to assess implementation progress, verify results, identify operational challenges, and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement.

  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools, data collection systems, and project documentation, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality reporting through the Management Information System (MIS).

  • Prepare and submit periodic operational and monitoring reports, highlighting project progress, key achievements, challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations for adaptive management.

  • Coordinate with technical, finance, procurement, and partner teams to facilitate smooth implementation, efficient resource utilization, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and capacity-building support to Project Officers and field staff to strengthen implementation quality, monitoring practices, and operational effectiveness.

  • Support stakeholder engagement and coordination with local government, communities, implementing partners, and other relevant stakeholders to promote collaboration and successful project delivery.

  • Contribute to programme planning, budget monitoring, risk management, and knowledge documentation, including capturing best practices, success stories, and evidence to support learning and scaling of climate adaptation interventions.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
