Looking for – Short Form Video Editor with Content Creating Speciality (Linguistic & Seerah Expertise Required)

This is a nonprofit Dawah endeavour, dedicated to spreading authentic knowledge about Islam.

The Mission:

• We are seeking a creative individual or agency to lead a large scale project repurposing a lecture series on the life of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم; known as Seerah.

Project Description:

• This project involves processing 125-130 long form lectures (50-95 minutes each) into approximately 1,300+ high engaging short clips for social media such as YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram Reels in BANGLA. Some clips may be longer when required to preserve the completeness of the message. The long videos of the source lectures are already edited and uploaded in our YouTube channel and contain Bengali, English, and Arabic which will be provided to the successful candidate with editing rights.

Core Competencies:

Beyond technical editing, we are looking for someone with

• Sound knowledge of the Seerah. The successful candidate must effectively demonstrate the following key competencies:
• Bengali Fluency is mandatory: Every clip must feature high quality, accurate Bengali captions.
• Identify and Extract: Independently recognize pivotal moments, fascinating stories, and core lessons within the lectures.
• Maintain Accuracy: Ensure that clips do not take theological points out of context.
• Linguistic Precision: Correctly transcribe and translate Islamic terminology across the three languages into the Bengali captions.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Clipping: Extract 10–12 high-impact clips per lecture (long video).
• Platform Optimization: Edit for 9:16 vertical format optimized for Reels, Shorts, TikTok. Create engaging hooks, smooth transitions, and platform appropriate pacing.
• Subtitling: Add dynamic, readable Bengali captions to all content.
• Socio-Cultural-Religious Sensitivity: Adhere to high standards of reverence and respect for the subject matter.
