Educational Requirements:
∎ Prospective candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Management or other related subject.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop detail implementation plan at aggregation center base priority action and supply chain development
∎ Understand and analyses farm productivity, crop diversification appropriate for the farmers’ groups and business models to enhance farmers’ access to the market;
∎ Organize price monitoring survey outside the camp area and prepare data sheet and inform concern stakeholder
∎ Organize business linkage meetings and trainings for farmers, local service providers, market actors and relevant private sector representatives at union and sub-district levels.
∎ Provide technical leadership on agriculture value chain and livelihood interventions.
∎ Market linkage by connecting producer groups with collection point/local farmer market and ensuring producers receive fair prices.
∎ Design field-level activity plans, ensuring timely delivery of program activities following the monthly project work plan.
∎ Provide technical assistance to the producers in organizing promotional events and demonstrations of their farm produces;
∎ Conduct regular field visit and spend significant period of time with the farmers, stakeholders and market actors in strengthening linkages among them;
∎ Play key role in increasing farmers’ groups’ access to the higher market in maximizing the profit with their potential commodities/crops also strong leadership to building linkages with FFC retailers
∎ Contribute in establishing aggregation centers/collection points and market outlets to explore market opportunities for the potential commodities of the farmers’ groups.
∎ Building capacity of aggregation center committees members and functioning them to link with different output market actors
∎ Provide technical expertise and manage staff working in areas such as agribusiness, enhanced agricultural production, post-harvest handling, storage and processing, improved market linkages etc.
∎ Act according to the rules & regulations of the organization and ensure transparency in fresh food supply from Aggregation center and distribution from camp level FFC.
∎ Supervise that transaction are carried out according to the ration scales approved.
∎ Supervise the daily work in progress and prepare daily transaction reports.
∎ Keep close collaboration with senior staff, other unit, other NGO, SM, CiC.
∎ Attend CiC meeting as a WV-B representative also attend different CP and counterpart meeting (FAO, WFP and its partners)
∎ Organize and actively participate different meeting at Outlet (Pre, post, monthly meeting, meeting with retailers and any other meeting).
∎ Supervise and assist to organize the capacity building training of volunteers, RFSC, porters and any other training that need.
∎ Willing and ready to work in any natural disaster or emergency situation anywhere in Bangladesh
∎ Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly report with accuracy.
∎ Closely monitor the COVID-19 Compliance
∎ Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time and any other responsibilities as requested by supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have knowledge and skills of project implementation
∎ Familiar with and abide by the NGO/Red Cross Code of Conduct, the People in Aid Code, HAP, Core Humanitarian standards
∎ Oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali
∎ Ability to work in a team
∎ Work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities
∎ Intermediate level of computer literacy using of Microsoft Office Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Power Point, SPSS & other database program.
∎ Proven skill in quantitative and report writing
∎ Experience in Managing Voucher based Commodity Distribution and Management in Relief / Refugee / Emergency context is an added advantage.
∎ Candidates should also have at least 2-3 years’ previous experience in a related field.
