Education:
· At least Bachelor degree with 2–3 years of experience in community-based project implementation, preferably in women’s empowerment or social development projects.
•Experience in supervising field teams and working with grassroots communities.
•Good understanding of gender equality, social inclusion, and participatory development.
•Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
•Basic proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
•Willingness to travel and stay in remote project areas as required.
•Experience working with or under projects funded by international development agencies.
•Familiarity with the local language/dialect and cultural norms of the project area.
•Commitment to the values and principles of ESDO and HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation.
Job Context:
ESDO is implementing Nari Shakti, Samaz Shakti (NSSS) Project with the assistance of Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation. The objective of the project is to establish a gender-transformative enabling environment that empowers women and marginalized groups to foster safer, inclusive, and resilient communities in the vulnerable contexts of Cox’s Bazar. The project focuses on protecting women and girls aged 10-35 in both host and refugee communities by enhancing resilience, reducing disaster vulnerabilities and creating alternative livelihood opportunities. This project has been implementing in 5 unions of Ukhyia and Teknaf upazila.

Report to the Technical Officer of ESDO NSSS Project and directly supervise to Entrepreneurs, LSPs, SDMC, Student Council, Youth Groups, Women Groups etc.

ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the following position.
Coordination with:
Coordination with Technical Officer-Entrepreneurship Development, Technical Officer- DRR, Admin and Finance Officer, MEAL Officer, SMC, UDMC, UP and UP level different stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
•Identify and select project participants, LSPs, Change Champion/Active citizen etc. following set criteria
•Identify, select and form Youth Group, Women Group and facilitate them on social protection, DRR etc.
•Identify and select school maintaining selection criteria and form SDMC, Student council and facilitate them accordingly
•Arrange coordination meeting with SDMC, SMC, student council
•Supervise and guide community facilitators, Local Service Providers (LSPs) and others stakeholders in implementing field activities.
•Ensure effective implementation of project interventions focusing on women's empowerment, social inclusion, DRR and community capacity building.
•Coordinate and facilitate community meetings, group sessions, awareness campaigns, and training programs.
•Monitor daily field activities and maintain regular communication with project participants and community leaders
•Regularly monitor and supervise the LSPs activity, takes initiatives to develop the capacity of LSPs.
•Provide necessary support to UDMC, SDMC, student council, Youth Group to play their roles to mitigate/response in disaster.
•Select and establish safe spaces in consultation between women entrepreneur, privet sectors and local actors/LGIs.
•Selection of project participants for bamboo plantation and maintenance along with capacity development training.
•Provide training to SDMC, and student council on DRR plan
•Monitor daily field activities and maintain regular communication with project beneficiaries and community leaders.
•Assist in baseline surveys, market assessment, data collection, and progress monitoring following guidelines.
•Maintain accurate records and prepare timely reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for the Project Coordinator.
•Foster strong relationships with local government bodies, civil society, and other stakeholders
•Identify challenges and propose field-level solutions to ensure smooth project execution.
•Ensure adherence to ESDO’s safeguarding and gender equality principles in all aspects of fieldwork.
•Any others project/organizational related task assigns by the Supervisor
