Responsible for:
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to pharmacy practice.
Educate medicine dispensers, and pharmacy store assistants on ideal medicine dispensing and storage methods.
Preparing medicine procurement requests as per existing organizational guidelines.
Oversee timely procurement and distribution of medicines in all health facilities.
Management of expired and near-expired medicines at health facilities.
Attend relevant training and workshops as advised by the supervisor.
Activities:
Work under the supervision of the health coordinator to maintain the quality of prescriptions and dispensing at health facilities.
Ensure rational prescribing and usage of drugs at the health facilities.
Remain up to date with the latest policies and advancements in the field of pharmacy and utilize the updated knowledge for programme upgradation.
Collect information on scope of receiving donated medicines from different Government/Non Government entities at local level.
Train staff on good practices related to medicine prescribing, storage, dispensing and other relevant topics.
Assist Health coordinator, Deputy Programme Manager, and Programme Manager in donor reporting and programme budget management.
Maintain liaison with local regulatory bodies.
Work in close collaboration with the warehouse in charge to produce accurate medicine requisitions as per consumption report.
Monitor medicine dispensers, pharmacists, and assistant pharmacists and collect timely consumption reports and other reports from them.
Ensure all relevant SoP (e.g. management of expired and near-expired medicine, medicine storage guideline, medicine dispensing guideline etc.) are developed and followed by the staff.
Skill and Competencies:
Educational Qualification:
Master’s in Pharmacy from a government-recognized university.
Should have a license from the Bangladesh Pharmacy Council.
Experience:
At least 03 years of experience working as a pharmacist in a reputed organization, preferably in an NGO. Experience of working for a displaced community in a hard-to-reach area will add value.

Excellent English reading, speaking, and writing skills.

Good communication and social skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Mentality to work for a marginalized community in a hard-to-reach area.
