The Family Planning Association of Bangladesh (FPAB) is the oldest and largest family planning organization in Bangladesh. Established in 1953, FPAB has been a pioneer in promoting Family Planning and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in the country. FPAB is committed to improving the quality of life of individuals, particularly poor and vulnerable populations, through advocacy, education, and the provision of quality SRHR services.

Duty Station: Any FPAB Branch Office in Bangladesh (as assigned by FPAB)
Key Responsibilities
The District Officer will be responsible for the overall management, administration, coordination, and implementation of FPAB activities at branch level. Major responsibilities include:
Provide overall leadership and management of branch operations in accordance with FPAB’s Constitution, Mission, Vision, Strategic Plan, Policies, and Procedures.
Ensure effective implementation, monitoring, supervision, and evaluation of all FPAB projects, programmes, and service delivery activities at branch level.
Maintain and uphold the provisions of the FPAB Constitution and ensure compliance with organizational policies and governance standards.
Organize and facilitate Branch Committee (BC), Sub-Committee, Annual General Meeting (AGM), and other statutory meetings; prepare agendas, draft minutes, and follow up on decisions.
Coordinate closely with FPAB Headquarters, Service Delivery Units (SDUs), Social Welfare Units (SWUs), project teams, and relevant stakeholders.
Maintain effective liaison and networking with district administration, government departments, local authorities, NGOs, INGOs, donors, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
Represent FPAB at district and divisional coordination meetings, workshops, forums, and relevant networking platforms.
Ensure effective management, supervision, motivation, performance appraisal, and capacity development of branch staff and volunteers.
Coordinate recruitment, orientation, deployment, and monitoring of project staff and volunteers in consultation with the Branch Executive Committee and Headquarters.
Prepare annual work plans and budgets and ensure implementation of approved activities within budgetary provisions.
Monitor branch financial management and ensure compliance with FPAB financial policies, donor requirements, and statutory regulations.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, annual, project, programme, and financial reports.
Oversee procurement, inventory management, storage, distribution, and accountability of contraceptives, medicines, equipment, and other logistics.
Ensure proper maintenance, safety, security, and utilization of branch facilities, equipment, vehicles, and organizational assets.
Promote quality assurance, safeguarding, gender equality, inclusion, and protection standards across all branch activities.
Identify opportunities for partnership development, resource mobilization, fundraising, and new project initiatives.
Develop and implement strategies to increase local resource mobilization and income generation through membership expansion, service-based revenue, community fundraising initiatives, and effective utilization of branch assets.
Document and disseminate best practices, success stories, and lessons learned from branch activities.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Director or competent authority from time to time.
Two Festival Bonuses (each equivalent to one month's basic salary).
