Skills Required: Additional Requirements: Working Experience: At least 7 years’ experience of which 5 years in management position within the area of program coordination, government relations, organizational capacity development and training, partnership management preferably in international organization. Working experience in the CHT context and having local language proficiency will be given priority.
Knowledge: Sound knowledge on CHT political, environmental, and social context, nutrition, livelihood and WASH situation and challenges especially in his/her district and upazilas. Technical knowledge on nutrition, health services, food security agriculture and other livelihood components and WASH is desired.
Skills:
Skilled in programme planning, coordination, representation, and staff management.
Good at report writing with computer proficiency in MS Office
Poses good analytical skill to apply strategic and innovative approach
Highly versatile personal with ability to work well under pressure and to deal with a variety of issues at the same time.

Responsibilities & Context: Project: Access to and Utilization of Lifesaving Services by Marginalized Communities in Chittagong Hill Tracts in Bangladesh
Reports to: Executive Director/ Program Director
Supervises: Upazila Coordinators, MEAL Officer, Field Coordinators, Community Nutrition Promoters
Duty Station: Bandarban with frequent travel to project sites
Duration of contract: 8 Months

Job Context:
TAHZINDONG is a non-profit and non-government voluntary development organization aims to ensure the environmental and Socio-economic development. The organization started its journey in 2001. TAHZINGDONG strives to empower the most disadvantage, marginalized and vulnerable people in CHT through alternative development process of the people as well as ensure the sustainable development of community and society.
The organization plans to implement a project aiming to contribute to Access to and Utilization of Lifesaving Services by Marginalized Communities, disadvantage groups in Bandarban Hill district. TAHZINGDONG is inviting applications to fill the 8 positions for the aforesaid project to be implemented through the partnership with Helen Keller Intl. The appointment to these positions will be made subject to the final approval project.
Job Summary
The Project Coordinator will lead and coordinate field implementation of the project “Access to and Utilization of Lifesaving Services by Marginalized Communities in Chittagong Hill Tracts in Bangladesh.” The role ensures timely, quality delivery of integrated Nutrition, WASH, and Livelihood interventions, technical leadership, compliance with donor and organizational standards, maintaining close coordination with government, CBO’s and community stakeholders.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and managing project implementation
- Support the technical and intervention leads in providing strategic direction and collaboration with different line departments of government and private sector stakeholders including administration at assigned district;
- Take lead in ensuring the project implementation under all sub-district of Bandarban Hill District in CHT as per the plans & guidelines;
- Provide support to technical and project leads to building effective liaison and collaboration among government line departments;
- Monitor the progress of activities to ensure that the activities are done in a qualitative and quantitative way within the stipulated timeframe;
- Ensure proper planning, designing, organizing and facilitation of the orientation/discussion sessions, meetings, workshops, seminars etc. at the district and upazila level;
- Ensure visibility of the donors and other partner organizations as applicable.
- Conduct regular field visits to upazila, union and community level as per need to understand the status of project intervention and implementation as well as provide support to GoB and relevant stakeholders in implementation.
Coordination, representation, and overseeing resource management and HR
- Establish effective networks with district and upazila level government departments, NGOs and other like-minded development organizations, and facilitate/re-activate existing coordination platforms to ensure effective delivery of project interventions in a coordinated and coherent manner;
- Ensure that project staff establish and maintain liaison/coordination with the sub-national and local level stakeholders;
- Attend district level coordination meetings organized by different technical line department and lead the discussion on project intervention issues as and when required;
- Represent the project team in monthly/quarterly NGO coordination meetings organized by the government stakeholders as and when required;
- Contribute to programme level discussions on strategies, technical interventions and approaches based on practical situation and field experiences;
- Proactively identify the opportunities for cross learning sharing experiences among the geographical areas;
- Arrange district level monthly coordination meetings and participate upazila level team meetings and relevant other meetings/discussions as required;
Budgeting and budgetary control and logistics support
- Ensure preparation of the budget for the project having input from all concerned;
- Control over expenses through Budget Expenditure Summary (BES);
- Ensure that the staff are getting necessary logistics support on time for smooth implementation of the project activities;
- Ensure that the financial report is prepared for the organization, other partners including the donor agencies on monthly, quarterly and annual basis and submit on time;
Mentoring, monitoring/supervision, reporting and documentation
- Plan the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities for the project as per Project approved M&E Plan and include the activities accordingly;
- Review the monitoring activities of the staff and gather the information through MIS and generate reports for all concerns and undertake corrective measures as per monitoring findings;
- Participate in the internal audit/evaluation process and take corrective measures as per findings of the audit/evaluation report;
- Prepare high-quality donor and internal reports, success stories, and lessons learned in coordination with MEAL teams;
- Submit monthly / quarterly /annual reports on the progress and achievements; also report on weak points and suggested remedies;
General
- Ensure project activities in compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and safeguarding standard;
- Coordinate with Finance and Procurement teams to ensure timely utilization of resources and documentation;
- Manage project risks and ensure timely resolution of operational challenges;
- Ready to work in any natural disaster or emergency;
- Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor;
