Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Medical Assistant/ MATS from an accredited academic institution or hospital; recognized & registered by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Closely work with local Upazila Health Complex authority.
∎ Maintains and delivers quality service.
∎ Reviews protocols and vaccine requirements
∎ Reviews Immunization Consent forms and record accordingly
∎ To ensure vaccines are administered and documented.
∎ Disposes of bio-hazardous waste in the appropriate and prescribed manner.
∎ Uses and remains knowledgeable of Universal Precautions.
∎ Has knowledge of action to be taken in the event of an emergency.
∎ Has knowledge of protocols for adverse reactions, as well as reporting of incidents and injuries.
∎ Always maintains confidentiality.
∎ Excellent interpersonal and cultural sensitivity skills
∎ Able to adjust to changing environments and protocols.
∎ Performs other duties as assigned/ necessary
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year’s clinical MA experience in emergency and primary healthcare.
∎ Ability to lead, train, supervise and facilitate other medical staff and community health workers in their respective tasks.
∎ Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural and political environment.
∎ Skills to provide sensitive and appropriate medical counselling.
∎ Excellent communication skills.
∎ Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment, displaying patience, compassion, and diplomacy.
∎ Ability to be innovative, flexible, adaptive, and willingness to work in challenging situations.
∎ Ability to live in challenging conditions and ability to work under difficult, high pressure situations.
