Assessment Strategies

• Being responsible for assessing the community perception of SGBV, the perceived needs of survivors and barriers survivors do not seek health care

• In collaboration with the international staff responsible for SGBV program, develop, monitor and evaluate strategies for MSF’s SGBV approach in the project based on MSF’s overall strategy and procedures for SGBV

Outreach and awareness

• Being responsible for training, support and follow up of the outreach team for SGBV awareness raising and community engagement to develop and improve awareness raising activities and community dialogue, discussion and messaging, materials and methods regarding the medical and psycho-logical consequences of SGBV, availability of medical and psychosocial care and the importance of timely access.

• Being responsible for identifying and engaging with the key target groups of trusted, respected community members and support services for outreach activities together with the outreach team

Medical and psychosocial care

• Being responsible for the set-up of care pathway and facilities for SGBV activities in line with MSF SGBV guidelines and MSF standards and procedures

• Being responsible for the application of the 5 steps of implementation with the main objective to create timely access to quality and comprehensive medical and psychosocial care to survivors of SGBV including sexual violence and intimate partner violence (IPV).

Referral and coordination

• Ensure information on the available support services for survivors of SGBV is gathered, a referral pathway is in place and that referrals are monitored and evaluated

• Participate in SGBV sub-cluster meetings and maintain contacts and communicate and coordinate with the different formal and informal support services

Monitoring and evaluations

• Ensure relevant data is captured using the SGBV data tool, stored, with ensured confidentiality, and analyzed.

Training

Identify training needs, organize and coordinate training, coaching and supervision about SGBV for MSF health care providers and other MSF staff members, including community outreach teams and other staff, based on the findings of learning needs assessments, knowledge, attitude and practices questionnaires and observation

MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities

MSF OCP in Bangladesh would like to improve and implement quality health services and care for survivors of sexual violence among the Rohingya in Cox’s Bazar camps. The profile described will develop and ensure that the clinical and administrative activities related to sexual and intimate partner violence care are in accordance to MSF protocols and legal recommendations.

• Collaborate with the PMR and all managers in different medical departments to develop, monitor, and evaluate the SGBV response program, ensuring alignment with MSF protocols

• Deliver comprehensive care to SGBV cases in OPD or IPD according to MSF protocols, ensuring follow-up consultations and access to MH support.

• Support midwives in actively screening patients for SGBV in the SRH department.

• Work with PMR, PC, and PC assistants or related staffs to identify and establish collaborations with relevant actors in social welfare, legal aid, and psychological services.

• Facilitate referrals for survivors to appropriate services, including social welfare, legal aid, and psychological management. Ensure follow-up where appropriate

• Ensure survivors are informed about MSF SGBV certificates and available legal support services, referring to protection pathways as needed.

• Collaborate with the HP to plan and execute a community awareness strategy, including identifying and sensitizing community helpers to foster awareness campaigns and improve survivor referrals.

• Work closely with the HP team to analyze community perceptions and barriers to accessing SGBV care.

• Plan and conduct staff and community assessments on SGBV awareness.

• Sensitize and train MSF staff in OPD, IPD, and HP departments to identify and refer survivors to SGBV services while maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Provide briefings on SGBV care to new staff during induction.

• Organize and oversee medical supplies and materials for survivor care.

• Ensure the continuous availability of SV drugs for adult and child cases in OPD and IPD according to MSF guidelines.

• Prepare orders for essential medicines for the program, based on the needs of survivors of sexual violence, pregnant women and users of contraceptive methods.

• Ensure proper documentation, secure storage, and confidentiality of SGBV survivor data.

• Prepare detailed monthly reports on SGBV activity.

• Report patient incidents or complex cases promptly to PMR or managers according to the cases

• Mobilize and preside over SGBV committee meetings.

• Collaborate with the mental health supervisor and counselor-educator for survivor follow-up and comprehensive care.

• Assigned tasks/responsibilities may change or be added based on the changing project needs and strategy

    - Salary according to MSF salary grid (Level 7) BDT 95000 Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary will be applicable based on the current income tax rule.
