Job Context:
∎ The Trainer - Soft Skills will play a vital role in the implementation of the USAID`s Bangladesh Integrated Youth Activity (BIYA) Project at UCEP Bangladesh. The trainer will be responsible for helping individuals develop non-technical, interpersonal, and behavioral skills required to succeed in the workplace and in life. The trainer will assess training needs, develop training programs, deliver training sessions, provide feedback, evaluate training effectiveness, and stay updated with the latest trends in soft skills development.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Training Needs Assessment:
∎ Conduct assessments to identify the soft skills training needs of youth beneficiaries.
∎ Gather information through surveys, interviews, and focus groups to determine specific skill gaps and areas for improvement.
∎ Analyze assessment results and provide recommendations for designing and customizing training programs.
∎ Understands the need of and sensitivity to culturally diverse populations.
∎ Training Program Development:
∎ Design and develop comprehensive soft skills training programs aligned with the project's objectives and target audience.
∎ Develop training materials, resources, and interactive activities to facilitate skill development.
∎ Ensure training programs are culturally appropriate, gender-sensitive, and accessible to diverse groups of participants.
∎ Training Delivery:
∎ Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions on various soft skills topics, such as communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and time management.
∎ Utilize effective instructional techniques, including presentations, group discussions, role-plays, case studies, and experiential learning exercises.
∎ Adapt training delivery methods to accommodate different learning styles and participant backgrounds.
∎ Maintain necessary documentation for trainees records.
∎ Feedback and Coaching:
∎ Provide constructive feedback to participants on their soft skills performance, behavior, and communication styles.
∎ Offer individual coaching and support to help participants improve their skills and address specific development areas.
∎ Foster a positive learning environment that encourages self-reflection, self-awareness, and continuous growth.
∎ Maintain close communication with Project Officer.
∎ Training Effectiveness Evaluation:
∎ Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions through various assessment methods, including participant feedback, pre and post-training evaluations, and skill demonstrations.
∎ Analyze training evaluation results and use findings to enhance future training programs and delivery approaches.
∎ Continuously monitor and measure the impact of soft skills training on participants' personal growth and employability.
∎ Professional Development:
∎ Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and research in soft skills development.
∎ Attend relevant workshops, conferences, and webinars to enhance personal knowledge and expertise.
∎ Share insights and contribute to the continuous improvement of the training program and curriculum.
∎ Support the UCEP program to carry out the project output with collaboration with other components.
∎ Other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ At least 02 (two) years proven experience as a trainer/facilitator, preferably in delivering soft skills training programs.
∎ In-depth knowledge and understanding of various soft skills areas and their relevance to youth development and employability.
∎ Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport, build relationships, and create a safe learning environment.
∎ Experience in conducting training needs assessments and designing customized training programs.
∎ Proficiency in using interactive training techniques and adult learning principles.
∎ Ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching to support participants' skill development.
∎ Strong analytical and evaluation skills to assess training effectiveness and measure impact.
∎ Familiarity with youth development and employability frameworks and approaches.
∎ CBT&A Level - IV or Level - V certification would be added advantage.
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla languages.
∎ Age limit for the applicant would be 35 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications.
