∎ The USAID Bangladesh Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (BMEL) Activity seeks senior Bangladeshi consultants with subject-matter expertise for various short-term assignments, as needed.
∎ Third-Party Monitors (Bangladeshi)
∎ (approximately 10-15 working days for each assignment, as needed)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Travel to locations around Bangladesh to monitor events of USAID-funded partners.
∎ Use standardized forms to conduct direct observation, Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with event participants and stakeholders.
∎ Submit reports in high-quality English language in a standardized format.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 8 years of professional experience in a field relevant to USAID programs, such as agriculture, aquaculture, democracy/governance/rights, gender, monitoring/evaluation.
∎ Relevant field experience in Bangladesh.
∎ Professional level fluency in both Bangla and English, both verbal and writing.
∎ Strong conceptual and writing skills.
∎ Ability to work to strict deadlines.
∎ Three professional references related to relevant work.
∎ Ability to travel extensively to different parts of Bangladesh.
∎ Preferred Qualifications:
∎ Knowledge of USAID or other donor practices in monitoring and evaluation.
∎ Professional experience in monitoring and evaluation.
∎ Quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis skills.
