Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Supervise daily implementation of infrastructure construction works, ensuring alignment with approved drawings and instructions.
∎ Provide technical guidance to masons, laborers, and community workers during excavation, masonry, reinforcement, and finishing works.
∎ Monitor construction progress, workmanship, and safety compliance on-site.
∎ Support in site selection, layout work, marking boundaries, and interpreting design documents at the field level.
∎ Maintain daily activity logs, site visit notes, and photographic documentation.
∎ Support construction and distribution works across WASH, Shelter, Education, Livelihoods, and other sectors as required.
∎ Ensure materials delivered to sites meet quality standards; report discrepancies to the Senior Technical Officer at once.
∎ Maintain basic records of daily labor, material usage, and equipment at each site.
∎ Submit daily updates to supervisors on task completion, challenges, and site needs.
∎ Assist in filling out checklists for infrastructure quality and compliance monitoring.
∎ Identify early risks in construction delays or substandard work and suggest corrective actions.
∎ Communicate with community members and workers respectfully, ensuring their understanding of construction activities and timelines.
∎ Liaise with volunteers and community focal points.
∎ Support community-led infrastructure activities with technical assistance and presence on-site.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

∎ The Technical Officer, Infrastructure is responsible for daily, hands-on supervision of construction and infrastructure activities at the camp and host community level. Reporting to the Senior Technical Officer, the role will ensure that small-scale infrastructure activities—such as shelters, access roads, drainage, training centres, health and community centres, and WASH-related works—are implemented according to technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The role plays a critical part in ensuring quality and accountability at the grassroots level.
