Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Planning, implementation and monitoring of activities under HarvestPlus (ENFS) Project;
∎ Organize and facilitate training to farmers who will cultivate zinc enriched rice;
∎ Facilitate and foster partnership with Federation/Groups/Farmers forum/FFS monitoring the training and demonstrations;
∎ Organize awareness session, nutrition campaign, seed marketing of zinc rice , aggregation of zinc rice grain and its milling with the involvement of local millers and coordinate different issue-based workshop, seminar for increasing influence on and access to right of poor people for sustainable livelihood;
∎ Data collection of demonstration plots and report preparation on monthly/quarterly/ half-yearly/yearly;
∎ Look after the project activities;
∎ Arrange, conduct and facilitate farmers leader & extension personal training. Arrange, conduct and facilitate value chain actors meeting;
∎ Assist to establish demonstration at farmers and CBO’s level;
∎ Coordination and collaboration with local government, upazila and district level Govt. departments, private sectors, NGO’s, CBO’s, Civil societies and relevant partners;
∎ Prepare annual work plan & budget (AWPB) for the component;
∎ Prepare progress report, success stories and other reports as required of the project;
∎ Ensuring gender issues in all components of the project.

∎ Recently, RDRS Bangladesh is inviting applications to fill up the position of Technical Officer (Agriculture) under Delivery of bio-fortified zinc rice in Bangladesh under HarvestPlus (ENFS) Project. The positions based in Nilphamari.
