Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in science or social science discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in Disaster Management and Environment/ Climate Change.

Job Context:
∎ Location: Ramu & Cox`s Bazar Sadar
∎ Duration: Duration of the Contract will be up to April 30, 2021
∎ Reporting to: Senior Technical Officer - Infrastructure
∎ Working Conditions: This is a field based position in Maheshkhali/Ramua/Cox`s Bazar Sadar
Additional Requirements:
∎ 6 to 7 years of experience in capacity building related to community based disaster risk reduction, climate change, early warning etc.
∎ Knowledge in gender, youth and children focused approach to development, DRR and resilience.
∎ Demonstrated capacity to work with teams
∎ Experience in shelter and or DRR program, in community mobilization and organizing learning sharing events involving community, practitioners and researchers and policy makers.
∎ Experience working in shelter and or DRR program is an added advantage.
∎ Excellent interpersonal and team management skills.
∎ Gender awareness and a commitment to gender equality.
∎ Experience in maintaining stakeholder relations with local government, administration and civil society actors.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Should have good understanding of MS Office applications.
∎ Commitment to and understanding of CARE core values and principles.
∎ Demonstrated competency to work independently with minimum supervision.
∎ Willingness to live and work in difficult and rapidly changing conditions.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel and stay in the field.
∎ Ensure and Promote GEDI and be GEDI sensitive, creating an enabling environment where diversity can flourish and all staff and stakeholders experience inclusion and appreciation.
