Job Context:
∎ GIZ Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for "Introducing an Employment Injury Insurance in Bangladesh`s Apparel Sector" project for the position "Technical Advisor- Training and Impact Assessment".
∎ Band: 4T
∎ Contract Duration: till 31 July 2023
∎ Project Background:
∎ GIZ International Services (InS), Dhaka Branch office is implementating of a project called "Introducing an Employment Injury Insurance (EII) in Bangladesh`s` apparel sector". The objective of project is to develop an advocacy strategy for workers, media, civil society organizations, employers and the Government of Bangladesh to foster a political consensus for the introduction of an EII (long term objective).

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The position holder is responsible for the below tasks:
∎ Support the development of the curriculum on Employment Injury Insurance (EII) for the various defined target groups
∎ Support the capacity development on EII of the defined target groups including roll out of the EII trainings
∎ Oversee the baseline, midline and end line assessment for the EII trainings
∎ Supports the development of an EII online toolkit
∎ Advice the International Project Coordinator on possible changes to the project design
∎ Collect data for monitoring purpose for all project components
∎ Independently implement goals and requirements set by the line manager
∎ In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:
∎ Tasks:
∎ The Technical Advisor Training and Impact Assessment is responsible for the overall training component and the subsequent monitoring issues related to the component
∎ Curriculum development:
∎ The position holder:
∎ Liaises with ILO ITC Turin for the development of 04 customized curriculum on EII.
∎ Provides and gathers feedback on the curriculum content
∎ Supports the finalization of the curriculum and subsequent iterations for the purpose of conducting ToT
∎ Training:
∎ The position holder:
∎ Coordinates with Action Aid Bangladesh for organizing the ToT and Cascade trainings
∎ Oversees the training implementation
∎ Suggests changes to the training based on the feedback of the participants
∎ Support baseline, Midline and End line assessment
∎ The position holder:
∎ Supports the drafting of the ToR for selecting an institute for conducting the assessments
∎ Organize meetings for the baseline, midline and end line assessment
∎ Disseminate the assessment results with relevant partners and client
∎ Toolkit development
∎ The position holder:
∎ Supports the development of the toolkit on EII
∎ Ensures that there is adequate awareness regarding the availability of the toolkit
∎ Monitoring:
∎ The position holder:
∎ Collects appropriate data for the M & E framework
∎ Generates reports for the client and GIZ InS HQ
∎ Other duties/additional tasks:
∎ The position holder: Undertake tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5 Years' experience where minimum 3 years in relevant occupational experience
∎ Previous job experience in GIZ will be an asset
∎ Other knowledge, additional competences
∎ Knowledge on Employment Injury Insurance will be given preference
∎ Previous experience with curriculum and training development
∎ Work experience with international organisations in the field of social protection
∎ Ability to work well under pressure and strong team player
∎ Ability to work independently without day to day supervision
∎ Good interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Fluency in English is essential
∎ Knowledge of German Language is an asset
∎ Ability to work in an intercultural environment
