Essential: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing / Diploma in nursing

Essential : BNMC registration

Desirable: Training on health education

Experience :

Essential : 2 years of previous experience in MSF or previous experience in other NGO’s as Nurse.

Desirable: Experience in NCD projects/ Nutrition Program will be an added value.

Responsibilities & Context:

Accountabilities :

• Knowing, promoting, implementing and following up the universal hygiene standards/ precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control, security rules and other protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensuring high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment. Respecting medical secrets and confidentiality at all times.

• Organizing and conducting individual and group health education/counselling sessions for patients and caregivers, ensuring correct understanding of disease, treatment plan, lifestyle modification and follow-up requirements.

• Supporting adherence and self-management for chronic patients by providing clear information on medication use, warning signs, and when to return urgently

• Ensuring patients are properly received, oriented, and supported during their visit, and identifying any emergency or deterioration, providing first actions within nursing scope and referring to the clinician/doctor when necessary.

• Sending material to be sterilized/ and recuperates it from sterilization/For Calibration when applicable.

• Carrying out admission, surveillance and follow-up of patients (i.e. assessment of the evolution of their state of health and the identification of any emergency situation or deterioration

• Perform cleaning and minor maintenance for biomedical equipment used. Following the user manual and protocols and alert supervisor in case of malfunctioning.

• Supervising and training nurse-aids, Health assistant. Camp Based Health promoters and other related staff under his/her supervision (When applicable), ensuring teamwork and adherence to all appropriate protocols and procedures.

MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities:

• Provide structured NCD health education and counselling.

• Conduct peer education activities and support patient training sessions to improve self-management and long-term adherence.

• Educate insulin-dependent patients on practical aspects such as injection technique, prescribed dose management, site rotation, and safe storage.

• Guide asthma and COPD patients on proper inhaler and spacer use, ensuring correct technique through return demonstrations.

• Support patients in mastering glucometer use and implementing self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) according to project guidance.

• Maintain proper documentation of health education activities and submit reports to supervisor when required.Regularly cross-check activity data with the registrar/team (e.g. health education sessions completed, remaining patients for planned activities such as distribution campaigns) and report gaps or inconsistencies

• Maintain stock under responsibility (e.g. glucometer, strips, lancets and education materials) and report any shortage to ensure continuity of services.

• Adapt to new implementations and service evolutions (e.g. Insulin clay pot, insulin pens, SMBG scale-up, updated NCD education package) as per project needs.

• Demonstrate adaptation to the work conditions in the refugee camps and express readiness to transfer to another MSF outpatient facility as needed by the project.

• Provide nursing gap coverage when required to ensure continuation of NCD services and patient care activities.Participate in the activities under her/his scope of responsibility as requested and needed by the project



Job Other Benifits:

    - Permanent /short term contract

    - Salary per month according to level five (5) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 68,500/- gross). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary will be applicable based on the current income tax rule.

    - 2 annual leave days per month worked.

    - Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on MSF Health Care Policy

    - 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted service.

    - There are no provisions for relocations.
