Position Overview
LEEDO is seeking a dynamic, skilled and results-oriented Fund Acquisition & Donor Relations Specialist to lead and strengthen the organization’s fundraising, grant acquisition, donor engagement and reporting functions. The role focuses on identifying funding opportunities, preparing high-quality project proposals and program reports, managing donor relations and supporting CSR and institutional partnerships to ensure sustainable organizational growth.
The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently, managing online donor applications, maintaining a strong donor intelligence system and ensuring effective communication and follow-up with potential donors and partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising & Grant Acquisition
Identify and pursue funding opportunities from international donors, INGOs, foundations, embassies CSR initiatives.
Develop and submit high-quality grant proposals, concept notes funding applications.
Design fundraising strategies aligned with organizational priorities and donor requirements.
Manage and submit online applications through donor portals and systems.
Able to prepare project proposals, program documentation and program/project reports effectively.
2. Donor Research & Intelligence
Conduct continuous research on institutional donors, private foundations CSR programs.
Maintain updated donor profiles, funding cycles eligibility criteria.
Develop and manage a structured donor database and funding pipeline tracker.
Map new funding opportunities aligned with LEEDO’s thematic areas (education, child rights, social development, etc.).
3. Data & Resource Management
Collect and organize organizational data required for proposal development.
Gather field-level evidence, success stories impact data for donor applications.
Maintain a digital repository of proposals, donor guidelines funding templates.
Ensure proper documentation of all funding submissions and donor communications.
4. CSR & Partnership Development
Identify and engage corporate CSR opportunities at national and international levels.
Develop partnership proposals for private sector collaboration.
Build and maintain relationships with CSR focal persons and corporate donors.
Explore innovative funding mechanisms including Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).
5. Online Application & Donor Portal Management
Manage donor portals and online submission platforms.
Ensure compliance with donor formats, guidelines digital requirements.
Track application status and maintain follow-up communication with donors.
Maintain electronic records of all submissions and funding opportunities.
Performance Expectation (Key Result Area - KRA)
Secure at least 1 confirmed funding opportunity within every 3 months.
Ensure active submission of multiple high-quality proposals within first 90 days.
Develop and maintain a minimum viable donor pipeline with clear follow-up status.
Strengthen CSR and institutional donor engagement for long-term funding stability.
