Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum one year's advanced Diploma in Computer Science (taught subjects include programming and database management).

Candidate should have minimum 5 years of working experience in MIS-related positions.

Good spoken and written English language skills are essential. Microsoft office, MS-Access, Visual Basic dot Net, Online Data Collection Platforms ODK/KOBO, Statistical package SPSS/STATA training required.

Applicants should have sound knowledge in MS Access database, Kobo toolbox.  Knowledge on Oracle database will be given preference.

There are vacancies for the following contractual positions at the LAMB head office under the MIS-Research Department, Parbatipur, Dinajpur, with one year contract duration.

Job Summary: This technical position supports the Program Manager (MIS-R) through independent programming, database design and management, developing queries and reports, and ensuring proper data quality.

1.     To be a model of professional behavior and integrity and to promote unity and peace among all project staff.

2.     Undertakes and develop procedures for MIS-R data checking, consistency/logical checking of datasets, processing, quality improvement and analysis.

3.     Develop forms, queries and reports using visual basic dot net, MS Access, Oracle, ODK, KOBO and according to research questionnaires and MIS-R data collection formats as required.

4.     Ensure system of routine backup.

5.     Develop and managed MIS-R database with minimum instruction of manager.

6.     Assist on project related MIS-R database eg. During consultancies.

7.     Generate reports and queries including using statistical software packages eg. SPSS, STATA, MS Access, Excel.

8.     Training new staff in data entry.

9.     Give technical assistance to community data entry staff (database problems, matching database, HCC stats, maternity stats etc.)

Salary: Around Tk. 26,771/- per month gross. Approximately Tk. 3,34,716 per annum, inclusive of all benefits. The remuneration package includes a provident fund, festival allowance once per year, medical benefits, critical illness and death benefits, and recreation.
