Habitat for Humanity International Bangladesh office (HFHI-B) is currently looking for interested and qualified candidates for the following position.
Works location: National Office, Dhaka

Reports to: Deputy Manager- Finance
Duration: Up to 6 months (full time)
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The main purpose of Intern engagement is to manage petty cash funds, staff advance payment and monitoring, bank reconciliation, voucher filling and documentation, assisting in day-to-day financial operation as and when required, maintaining coordination with other teams within the organization.
Following a learning-by-doing approach, s/he obtains relevant experience to prepare his/herself to contribute professionally to any organizational set-up in coming days. The position will be given challenge to increase his/her footprint along with undertaking various finance activities.
Key Learning Outcomes
By the end of the internship, the trainee will be able to:
Understand Habitat for Humanity’s finance policies
Learning about advanced management systems
Hands on experience on Bank Reconciliation and petty cash management
Learn finance voucher file management systems
Develop professional workplace skills, including confidentiality, coordination, and reporting
Key Responsibilities
(Includes but is not limited to the following)
Petty cash management
Travel advance process and adjustment or reimbursement travel expense both local and international.
Staff advance aging.
Bank reconciliation for all accounts.
Monthly payment process like; overtime, mobile bill, internet bill, WASA, DESCO etc.
Small scale vendor payment process
Payment of contractual/casual staff remuneration
Voucher filing and audit support.
PAID seal affixed on vouchers
Support team for timely payment
Active support, role modelling, and adherence to the Habitat for Humanity’s Values and Safeguarding Commitment.
