Experience
Minimum of 3 year of experience in Information Management Systems (IMS), with large-scale data management. Prior experience in the humanitarian sector is highly desirable.
Previous experience in IMS for case management, psychosocial counselling, child protection, community-based activities, youth engagement, advocacy, or psychosocial support service provision.
Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of information management principles, tools, and systems.
Proven ability to manage data with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Personal attributes: team player, adaptable, resilient under pressure, and able to work effectively in cross-cultural environments.
Fluency in Bangla and Chittagonian is required; proficiency in English is preferable.
Special Educational Qualification
Minimum Bachelor degree in Statistics, Social Work, Social Sciences, or a related field (preferred), Masters degree would be preferable.

Job Overview/Summary
The Senior Database Officer-CP will play a critical role in establishing and implementing a robust information management system to support case management responses for children at risk of or experiencing abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence, including unaccompanied and separated children. The position focuses on ensuring the safe, accurate, and confidential management of information, while also supporting caseworkers in effectively managing their caseloads. The role will strictly uphold the IRC’s Child Safeguarding Policy and the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse standards in all work environments and communities.
Position Objectives
Protect and accurately store all information collected as part of child protection case management responses.
Assist caseworkers in organizing and tracking individual caseloads.
Ensure compliance with data protection protocols throughout all information management processes.
Uphold IRC’s ethical standards, including Child Safeguarding and the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.

Major Responsibilities
Technical Quality
Ensure accurate entry of all cases registered under case management into the CPIMS+ database.
Manage the use, maintenance, and technical support of the CPIMS+, including planning and overseeing data collection, input, and verification, as well as generating standard and ad hoc reports.
Supervise case coding processes for field sites to ensure consistent and accurate data entry.
Coordinate and facilitate additional data collection activities, including planning methodologies and analyzing outcomes in collaboration with relevant staff.
Respond to data requests from Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), Management Information System (MIS), partners, and donors in a timely and accurate manner.
Provide capacity-building sessions and training to staff and implementing partners (IPs) on data management processes.
Compile child protection data for regular reporting and contribute to trend analysis for case management updates.
Prepare and submit the inter-agency 5Ws/4Ws on a monthly basis to relevant stakeholders.
Adapt to and effectively use different software and tools designed for CPIMS+ operations.
Work closely with the IRC’s MEAL team and represent the CP team in relevant forums when required.
Maintain open communication with the supervisor to report on achievements, challenges, and priorities.
Coordination & Representation
Facilitate effective communication with caseworkers, CP Assistants, Officers, Managers, and other key stakeholders to share information and updates.
Actively participate in case management and information management meetings at the field level.
Represent IRC at inter-agency CPIMS+ coordination meetings to enhance collaboration and ensure consistency.
Monitoring & Reporting Responsibilities
Provide inputs for weekly and staff activity reports.
Monitor and analyze case management trends and share insights with the CP Manager on a monthly and need based.
Assist in compiling, calculating, and presenting data for statistical reports, including population figures, key indicators, and donor submissions.
Support proposal development by contributing information management-related inputs.
Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality in case management processes.
Maintain accurate records of cases and compile weekly reports for the supervisor.
Perform data validation and maintain proper record-keeping systems.
Organize regular feedback sessions with case workers to inform and improve programming.
Collect and document success stories from beneficiaries or stakeholders to highlight program impact.
Other Duties
Proactively monitor and assess the safety and security of field teams, reporting any concerns to IRC management and liaising with community leaders to ensure a safe operating environment.
Regularly assess capacity of the case workers on CPIMS+ and data management skills and provide on job training.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support IRC’s programs and objectives.
Promote and actively participate in initiatives and efforts to build team engagement, inclusion and cohesion in IRC [team/office]
Foster ongoing learning, honest dialogue and reflection to strengthen safeguarding and to promote IRC values and adherence to IRC policies.
