Experience:
Master’s degree in child Rights/ Gender Studies/ Social Work / Welfare, Social Science/ Human Rights/ Education/ Public Health / Development Studies or other relevant field or the equivalent in professional work.
Minimum 7 to 8 or more years of experience in Child Protection
Experience in directly supporting child survivors of violence
Previous experience in emergency preparedness and response as well as development context.
Demonstrated coordination, networking and relationship building skills with key partners including government, donors, INGOs, national and local organizations, UN agencies
Demonstrated experience in successfully leading, building, and strengthening a programming team of 60+ staff in a dynamic, challenging and changing context
Proven experience in supervising, mentoring, and building capacity of national staff
Strong experience, knowledge and skills in participatory methods and community development
Proven skill of writing donor and assessment/situation report.

Since 2017, IRC has supported Rohingya Refugees and Bangladeshi nationalities communities in Cox`s Bazar, Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong with integrated services. The organization also addresses climate change impacts by building resilience and promoting economic recovery, education, and protection.
Purpose: The Senior Protection Manager-CP will liaise with Child Protection coordinator to provide technical leadership and oversight across all CP programming in IRC Bangladesh; will conduct regular technical visits to CP teams working in all program areas to ensure that interventions are technically sound, in-line with international standards, and appropriately meet the needs and priorities of children, adolescents, and caregivers in target communities. This position is responsible for programmatic resource mobilization and advocacy related to IRC’s CP programming and overall strategic direction of the CP program.
