Habitat for Humanity International Bangladesh office (HFHI-B) is currently looking for interested and qualified candidates for the following position.

Duration: Up to 6 months (full time)
PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of engaging an HR Trainee / Intern is to provide dedicated support to the Human Resources function by assisting with routine HR operations, documentation, and system-strengthening initiatives. The internship will contribute to improved efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in HR processes, while supporting the transition towards more structured and automated systems.
Following a learning-by-doing approach, this internship will equip the intern with practical HR experience, making them suitable for entry-level roles in the HR department of any organization.
Key Learning Outcomes
By the end of the internship, the trainee will be able to:
Understand Habitat for Humanity’s recruitment and selection processes
Learn HR file management systems and HRIS fundamentals
Gain exposure to onboarding and employee communication processes
Develop professional workplace skills, including confidentiality, coordination, and reporting
Understand leave management and basic HR operations
Key Responsibilities
(Includes but is not limited to the following)
1. Recruitment Support
Assist in scheduling interviews and maintaining candidate trackers
Support filing and organization of recruitment-related documents
Assist with job posting logistics and applicant communication using approved templates
2. Onboarding & HR Administration
Prepare onboarding checklists and orientation materials
Support maintenance and achieving personnel files (non-sensitive documents only)
3. HR Data & Reporting
Assist in compiling basic HR dashboards (leave status, training participation, recruitment progress) under supervision
4. Employee Engagement Support
Support HR-led staff wellness activities and learning session logistics
Assist in collecting and organizing staff feedback
5. HR System & Digitalization Support
Work closely with the HR Manager to support development of an online data management system
Assist in reorganizing manual HR files into digital formats
6. Perform other HR-related tasks as assigned
