Educational Requirements:
∎ 4 years Graduation / Post Graduate Diploma or university degree in the field of computer science / Information Technology /EEE/ ECE or equivalent and 3 years’ equivalent work experience.
∎ Certifications in Data Center / Cisco / Juniper / Linux / Microsoft / SUN /HP / DELL /IBM/ ITIL or related field.
∎ Training /Skill in Server / Storage / Virtualization / Cloud Computing / Backup System / System Security / SAP System Maintenance etc.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
∎ Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
∎ Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
∎ Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
∎ Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
∎ Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
∎ Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
∎ Perform System design and Implement of system related projects.
∎ Maintain operational level agreements with end users.
∎ Acquisition & Deployment
∎ Interact or co-ordinate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors for related solutions, support and service according to agreed SLA.
∎ Deploy server, storage, firewall, encryption systems and all host security systems in accordance with BG Information Security.
∎ Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to implement desktop and server systems to meet corporate objectives.
∎ Conduct research on system products, services, protocols, and standards.
∎ Operational Management
∎ System implementation and configuration, Tier-III support to IT help Desk.
∎ Manage all operating systems and end-user software.
∎ Manage communications and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity, local area networks, company Web site, intranet, and Internet applications.
∎ Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance to business needs regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance in accordance with BG Information Security.
∎ Administer all system related equipment, hardware and software upgrades including unified communication systems.
∎ Manage input/output fleet, including MFP.
∎ Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with BG Information Security Policy.
∎ Perform and test routine system backups and restores.
∎ Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on server, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary.
∎ Practice system/network asset management, including maintenance of system/network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
∎ Prepare and Support development platform for application development teams.
∎ Analyze system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance.
∎ Perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches and reconfigurations.
∎ Create required reports in response to business user needs.
∎ Deploy approved BG policies and procedures for system administration and appropriate use.
∎ Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
∎ Any task assigned by Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge in IT Service Delivery, Project Management, System Security and Knowledge Management. • Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards
∎ Strong knowledge in Windows, Linux, AIX operating system including Directory Service, Remote Desktop Services, Direct Access and High Availability, Backup System and related security.
∎ Expertise in Collaboration services (MS Exchange, SharePoint, Lync/OCS, skype for business, PKI infrastructure, NAP, SCOM, SCSM, ADRMS, File Server, SharePoint, Hyper-V etc.)
∎ Strong Experience with Messaging System (MS Exchange) documentation, planning, designing and implementation.
∎ Working knowledge with different roles of Servers, storages and Backup systems.
∎ Operational experience working with different version of messaging systems.
∎ Strong knowledge of system and network administration.
∎ Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
∎ Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems.
∎ Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
∎ Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
∎ Strong customer service orientation.
∎ Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
∎ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
∎ Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
∎ Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
∎ Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required.
∎ Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.
∎ Highly self-motivated and directed.
∎ Keen attention to detail.
∎ Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
∎ 6 Days a week.
∎ 40-hour on-site work weekly with on-call availability.
∎ May be required to sit for extended periods of time.
∎ Travel may be required to concerned UNIT, Factory or Business areas.
∎ Occasional inspection / monitor ongoing projects and infrastructure setup.
