Educational Requirements:
∎ Extensive experience of working with UN or Non-Governmental Organizations;
∎ Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, distribution, warehouse and stock management;
∎ Demonstrated experience in managing a team in a challenging and fast paced environment.
∎ Well track record working in any emergency response projects with any NGO/INGO or UN agencies.
∎ Adequate understanding on medical/ Pharmaceutical procurement, warehousing and distribution following Government and Donor (ECHO, DFID, OFDA, GAC, UN, etc.) compliance.
∎ Understanding of the local market, local legislation related to contracts, suppliers, contractors and customs clearance, business registration requirements and tax regulations, legal aspects of contracting and contract management;
∎ Understanding of the procurement rules and regulations of major international donors;
∎ Excellent skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point;
∎ Excellent interpersonal and team skills;
∎ Effective procurement and contract management skills;
∎ Experience in supervising staff;
∎ Commitment to humanitarian principles and values;
∎ Commitment to and understanding of IRC's aims, values and principles.
