∎ Bachelor degree in any discipline
∎ Degree in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management/ Economics/ Engineering Management will be given preference
Job Context:
∎ The intern will support IRC’s Supply Chain team on various administrative tasks related to day to day supply chain activities. We are looking for a person who have already completed graduation with a concentration in Supply Chain or any other relevant subject. The candidate is expected to have willingness to work in a challenging environment. The initial contract will be for 3 months.
∎ Department: Supply Chain
∎ Line Manager: Procurement Manager
∎ Contract Length: 3 Months
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist Supply Chain team on procurement process
∎ Assist Supply chain team on documentation and filing, such as listing of files, scanning documents, photocopy etc.
∎ Assist Procurement team on market assessment and preparing supplier database
∎ Support Procurement manager in tender process by communicating suppliers, reference checking, collecting documents and product samples
∎ Support procurement officer to following up with supplier for materials delivery and coordinate other program team to inform about delivery
∎ Screen the suppliers as per IRC guidelines in ATCs
∎ Ensure the non-winning suppliers receive notification from IRC about the status of their bids
∎ Conduct duties in accordance with IRC Bangladesh program Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
∎ Conduct duties in accordance with the IRC Supply Chain Code of Conduct
Additional Requirements:
∎ 1 year of experience in Logistics/ Supply Chain will be given advantage
∎ Understanding of the local market, local legislation related to contracts, suppliers
∎ Very good skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point
∎ Excellent interpersonal and team skills
∎ Effective procurement and contract management skills
∎ Commitment to humanitarian principles and values
∎ Commitment to and understanding of IRC's aims, values and principles
∎ The candidate is required to have proficiency in English
Salary: Tk. 15000 - 20000 (Monthly)
