Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assess nature and extent of fire, condition of building, danger to adjacent buildings, and water supply status to determine crew or company requirements during any fire incident.
∎ Maintain all fire safety equipment in the responsible areas, such as fire extinguisher and other fire suppression equipment, replacing dysfunctional equipment when it cannot be used/fixed.
∎ Responsible for providing fire education and fire training to all staff with the coordination of training department.
∎ Always keep updates of different firefighting groups with their presence in responsible area so that they can be used effectively at the time of need.
∎ Conduct the training of firefighting, assigning of instructors to training classes and providing of supervisor with reports on training progress and status.
∎ Compile and maintain records on fire accidents equipment and supplies.
∎ Provide fire safety guidelines and plan for evacuation schemes whenever it is necessary.
∎ Maintain up to date maps, records, and eye sketch of all locations along with Fire Fighting equipment position.
∎ Conduct investigation of cases of suspected arson, hazards, and false alarms and submit reports outlining findings.
∎ Develop or review building fire exit plans.
∎ Oversee review of new building plans to ensure compliance with laws, ordinances and administrative rules for fire safety.
