  • 7 years proven experience in merchandising, supply chain management, or production planning roles within the textile and apparel manufacturing industry at least in higher capacity for 2 years.  
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis, process mapping, and data-driven decision-making.        
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a track record of implementing innovative solutions to complex supply chain and production planning challenges.        
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.       
  • Project management experience, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.       
  • Familiarity with sustainability principles and practices in supply chain management and production planning is a plus.
  • This is a full-time position based at our headquarters with occasional travel to manufacturing facilities and suppliers as needed.
  • The successful candidate will report directly to CTO (Chief Transformation Officer) and work closely with cross-functional teams, including Strategic Management, Production, Procurement, and Logistics.

Responsibilities & Context:

As the Merchandising & Planning Manager, you will be instrumental in optimizing supply chain management and production planning processes to drive efficiency and support the strategic objectives of the organization. 

Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Merchandising & Planning Manager to lead initiatives aimed at improving supply chain management and production planning. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of industry best practices, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. GAP Analysis and Process Assessment:       

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of supply chain management and production planning processes to identify gaps and inefficiencies.        

  • Utilize data analysis and benchmarking against industry best practices to evaluate process performance and identify improvement opportunities. 

2. Solution Generation and Innovation:       

  • Generate innovative and sustainable solutions to address identified gaps and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain and production planning processes.        

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements, leveraging technology, automation, and best practices. 

3. Strategic Alignment:        

  • Partner with the Strategic Management team to ensure that process improvement initiatives are aligned with business objectives and support the overall strategic direction of the organization.        

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on process analysis to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation. 

4. Supply Chain Optimization:        

  • Optimize inventory management practices to minimize stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and improve inventory turnover.

  • Enhance supplier relationship management processes to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and components.

5.Production Planning Enhancement:       

  • Improve production planning processes to optimize resource utilization, minimize lead times, and enhance production efficiency.       

  • Implement forecasting and demand planning techniques to anticipate customer demand and align production schedules accordingly.
