Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Understanding the needs and requirements of the buyers, effectively communicating with them, managing their expectations, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the procurement process.
∎ To achieve desired fabric characteristics and quality, one must understand the various knitting process parameters, such as yarn type, stitch density, gauge, tension, and fabric structure.
∎ Managing the daily activities of the knitting production floor, including scheduling, allocating resources, keeping an eye on output, and guaranteeing a smooth workflow to meet production goals, is known as knitting production or floor management.
∎ Ensuring that knitted goods fulfill the necessary quality standards and specifications by having a solid understanding of quality standards, inspection techniques, and procedures.
∎ Coordinating and managing relationships with subcontracted knitting factories to make sure they adhere to the agreement's quality, quantity, and timeline requirement.
∎ Establishing creative and marketable knitwear designs that appeal to target customers requires an understanding of knitting trends, design principles, and techniques.
∎ Recognizing the type and color fastness of dyes and finishing methods used to add color and enhance the look and functionality of knitted textiles.
∎ To recognize problems, troubleshoot issues, and put effective solutions in place to overcome obstacles that may arise in the supply chain or knitting manufacturing process.
∎ Have to gather, examine, and decipher information about inventory management, knitting production, quality assurance, and other topics in order to make defensible choices and streamline procedures.
∎ Efficient communication and collaboration with various departments, including design, merchandising, production planning, quality control, and logistics, are crucial for ensuring a smooth workflow and prompt issue resolution.
