- Post-graduation with 4-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any reputed university, preferably in Public Health, Environmental Science, Social Science, or relevant fields.
- Certifications in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001, will be considered an advantage.
Requirements: Skills Required: Additional Requirements: - At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in training programs, preferably in the field of occupational health and safety.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the RMG sector is a requirement.
- OSH Training Program Specialist must have a thorough understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multi-stakeholders in the RMG industry (workers, industries, unions, federations, brands, and other stakeholders).
- Must be able to work in a team with professionalism, mutual respect, and understanding.
- OSH Training Program Specialist must be able to develop and deliver effective training programs.

Job Context
The role reports to the Head of Department of OSH Training Program and is based in the RSC office in Dhaka and Chittagong.
In this role, the OSH Training Program Specialist is responsible for delivering a comprehensive Training program across the RMG industry of Bangladesh. The main responsibility of this position is to educate workers, supervisors, and managers with the necessary knowledge and skills to identify, prevent, and mitigate occupational hazards and promote a safe work environment and respectful work culture across the RMG industry in Bangladesh.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver OSH and Respect (GBV) Training effectively and efficiently at the RSC covered factories.
- Ensure the timely presence of relevant participants in the RSC OSH Training programs.
- Collaborate with workers, employers, and relevant stakeholders in various engagement.
- Periodically assess participants' training needs and share findings with the designated Team Leader for course content review.
- Evaluate training programs on a regular basis to assess participants' learning outcomes and impacts.
- Assist MEAL Specialist in developing and implementing M&E frameworks to monitor and supervise field-level training activities.
- Conduct All Employee meetings(AEM) sessions ensuring quality and optimum resource management.
- Ensure proper distribution of the All-Employee Meeting booklets and other IEC materials.
- Develop training modules as well as different types of IEC materials under the guidance of TL.
- Prepare and dispatch the Letter of Acknowledgement (LoA) on time to the factories and eligible participants including SC and GRC.
- Facilitate Safety Committee (SC) and GRC meeting at regular intervals and provide required support and guidance.
- Conduct Safety Committee Walkthroughs (SCWT) at assigned factories; present findings to management in the closing meeting and share the formal report in accordance with official protocol.
- Follow up the Safety Committee (SC) until the Walkthrough findings resolved.
- Follow up GRC (Grievance Redressal Committee) to ensure its functionality and workers training progress on periodical intervals.
- Inform the Team Leader/HoD of the difficulties encountered in the successful implementation of any program.
- Coordinate with the OSH Training Logistics Officer for the required logistical and technical support in the training program.
- Conduct the Safety Survey during the Safety Committee meeting and update the data accurately.
- Maintain and update the training databases (i.e. FFC & FTP, OSH Tracker, LoA Tracker, Walkthrough Tracker, SC Members Tracker) on a regular basis and generate quantitative reports.
- Make effective communications with the factory management and the related stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of OSH Training program.
- Communicate with the Remediation Program Department (RPD) and Occupational Safety & Health Complaint Mechanism (OSHCM) Team, and other Technical Team Colleagues for any immediate work requirement.
- Communicate with the Safety Committee and GRC members to collect information on any industrial accidents, complaints, etc. and share reports with the respective concerned.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Head of OSH Training Program.
- Exercise responsibility, loyalty and integrity in RSC’s work and its resources and funds.
