Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions that align with the Shakti business goals and requirements. Define the overall system architecture, including technology stack, platforms, and integration points.
∎ Technical Leadership: Provide strategic technical direction and ensure adherence to best practices in software development. Lead the selection of frameworks, tools, and technologies to meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
∎ Documentation & Standards: Define architectural standards, best practices, and guidelines for the development team. Ensure comprehensive documentation for system architectures, technical designs, and solution deployments.
∎ Performance & Scalability: Ensure that software systems are designed for optimal performance, scalability, and reliability, and lead efforts to address performance bottlenecks and system limitations.
∎ Risk Management: Identify and manage technical risks associated with system designs and development processes. Propose and implement mitigation strategies.
∎ Team Leadership: Manage and lead the development team, providing direction, mentorship, and career development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
∎ Resource Planning & Allocation: Oversee team assignments, ensuring the right balance of resources across projects. Monitor workload distribution and adjust as needed to meet deadlines and project objectives.
∎ Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations, set individual and team goals, and provide continuous feedback. Foster an environment of accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
∎ Collaboration & Communication: Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and the development team. Communicate technical challenges and requirements to non-technical stakeholders and ensure alignment with business objectives.
∎ Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and encourage ongoing learning and professional development within the team. Support the team in staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
∎ Project Planning & Execution: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of software development projects. Ensure timely delivery of features, meeting both functional and technical requirements.
∎ Agile Methodologies: Implement and advocate for agile development practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to drive project progress and ensure effective collaboration across teams.
∎ Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality software delivery by implementing testing strategies and quality metrics. Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure proper testing coverage and continuous improvement of product quality.
∎ Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly interact with product managers, executives, and other key stakeholders to ensure that software development efforts are aligned with strategic business goals.
