Job Context:
∎ We are a leading fast fashion brand based in the heart of Europe. For almost 40 Years we are in latest trends, styles and fashion market. We have over 600 shops all over the Europe.
∎ For our Sourcing Office in Dhaka - we are looking for SOCIAL COMPLIANCE & SUSTAINABILITY TEAM LEADER
∎ The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Supplier Chain Officer, Head of Sustainability, Sourcing Team, Senior Sourcing Manager, Suppliers and Buyers in Europe.
∎ Availability: ASAP
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Need to ensure all Compliance, CSR & Sustainability relevant activity in Global Supply Chain according to local law and company policy & standards.
∎ Conduct meetings and visits to facilities for compliance monitoring, remediation or training
∎ Manage supply chain mapping and traceability
∎ Develop Sustainable Compliance Strategies.
∎ Independent and able to take decision in critical situation.
∎ Analyzing capability & KPI oriented thinking.
∎ Coordinate with different offices for CSR, Compliance and Project work.
∎ Perform Social Ethical audit as per company requirement. Sound knowledge of ETI, SA8000, BSCI, SMETA, WRAP and respective countries required law (labor law, Health safety related law, etc)
∎ CAP management for company's Internal Audit, BSCI, Sedex, Better Work, Accord and other initiative.
∎ Need to perform initial social, technical & follow-up audits as per company standards.
∎ Regular visit to the factories as per factory development program and ensure company's Sustainability, Compliance and Health-Safety requirements.
∎ Maintaining and follow up licenses and certificates along with necessary copy of legal documents of existing and new suppliers.
∎ Maintain proven track record of CSR Culture within the vendors and organization
∎ Training activities such as onboarding, refreshment, Better Work, Accord etc.
∎ Monitor HS complains in the factories in respect of Local & Global H&S legal requirements
∎ Work with internal departments to ensure quality, production, and timely delivery of the goods. Supervising & advising the merchandisers / quality assurance officers and communicating & reporting consistently to the office manager/ buyers and keep them updated. Facilitate the stewardship of Brands Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) knowledge and skills.
∎ Knowledge on Sustainability frameworks (GRI, UN Global Compact, SASB, etc) is an asset.
∎ Knowledge on the Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) is an asset.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 to 6 years' leadership experience in social compliance & sustainability area
∎ Experience at a European Liaison Office / Buying House and following overseas vendors is an advantage
∎ Supply Pool traceability (Global Supply Chain) experience will give extra advantage
∎ Ability to update market Intel and identify supply chain responsible sourcing risk
∎ Ability to execute tasks in a thorough, composed, accurate and timely fashion while managing multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
∎ Cross-functional team player with proven leadership capability and teamwork behavior
∎ Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with several cross-functional partners
∎ Need to have knowledge in Product Sustainability (Supplier & Product traceability)
∎ Factory Auditing experience in Social Compliance, Environment & Health-Safety aspect
∎ Need to have good knowledge in chemical management system.
∎ Software uses experience like- Microsoft Office (Specially Excel), PLM, Citrix & SAP and Power Bi will give extra advantage.
∎ The applicant must be fluent in English and well conversant in daily communication via email & phone
∎ Must be cooperative and able to work in a team as well as independently in a fast paced environment
∎ Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to optimize the work process efficiently
∎ Must have knowledge on MS-Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and internet proficiency
∎ Must show Commitment and loyalty to the company
∎ Experience in team management and global strategy development.
