Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum university degree in Civil/Construction or architecture Engineering, Prior experience in Shelter or WASH construction and community based projects.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Report monthly on all NRC shelter activities in the region to sub-cluster and internal.
∎ Assess the areas of operation regarding construction in cooperation with national and local authorities and in close collaboration with the Shelter project manager.
∎ Ensure the implementation of the construction programme in accordance with NRC principles and ways of working.
∎ Exchange on a regular basis ideas/information with Shelter project manager.
∎ Document technical issues and questions to Shelter project manager.
∎ Ensure that constructions are in accordance with norms and standards.
∎ Provide specific technical support and capacity building to project staff
∎ Provide specific technical analysis and feedback to NRC representatives in coordination forums
∎ Ensure a constructive co-operation with NRC's other programme critical interfaces.
∎ Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy

Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 years' experience in a senior level construction project implementation position in Bangladesh
∎ Experience with construction standards/ international standards code for building.
∎ Experience with rural building projects using basic material
∎ Experience with solar energy systems (desirable)
∎ Excellent communication skills
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla, Chittagonian/Rohingyan (desirable)
∎ Auto CAD knowledge. (desirable)
∎ Able to express your ideas clearly and confidently in speech
