Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of the waiter/Waitress. This includes assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality service delivery.
∎ Train new waitstaff members on restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
∎ Enforce and maintain the restaurant's service standards and ensure that all staff members adhere to them. This includes monitoring the quality of customer service, addressing any issues or complaints, and taking corrective actions when necessary.
∎ Responsible for creating work schedules for the Waiter/Waitress, taking into account staffing levels, business needs, and employee availability.
∎ Interact with customers, welcoming them, assisting with seating, and addressing any concerns or special requests. It is important to ensure that customers have a positive dining experience.
∎ Monitoring and managing inventory levels for front-of-house supplies, such as menus, utensils, and condiments. This involves placing orders, coordinating with suppliers, and keeping track of stock levels.
∎ Ensure that all staff members follow proper health and safety guidelines, including sanitation, food handling, and workplace safety protocols. Regular inspections and adherence to hygiene standards are important in maintaining a safe environment.
∎ Encouraging teamwork and fostering a positive work environment is essential. You will promote effective communication, cooperation, and collaboration among the waitstaff and other departments, such as the kitchen staff and management.
∎ Conducting performance evaluations for waiter/Waitress, providing constructive feedback, and recognizing outstanding performance are important aspects of this role. Identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate training or development plans is also part of your responsibilities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 27 to 34 years
∎ Previous experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role
∎ Strong leadership and communication skills
∎ Exceptional customer service skills
∎ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
∎ Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning and wine pairing
∎ Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software
∎ Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve conflicts
∎ Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
∎ Food Safety Certification is preferred
