Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies/ Gender/ Social Science/ Social Work/ Human Rights/ Humanities or any other equivalent degree.

• Minimum 7 years’ total experience with at least 5 years(s) of experience in Project Management, budget management and tracking the project progress.

• Proven experience in GBV in emergencies/ humanitarian crisis.

• Over 4 years of experience managing partnerships, including working with UN and USAID grants, ensuring compliance, strategic implementation, and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders.

• Support multi grants reporting implementation programming.

• Previous experience in emergency preparedness and response.

• Demonstrated experience in successfully leading, building and strengthening a program team of 10+ staffs in a dynamic, challenging and changing context.

• Demonstrated experience in supervising, mentoring and building the capacity of national staff and partners.

• Demonstrated experience in facilitating practical workshops and learning on these issues outlined in the areas of responsibility for this position.

• Strong experience, knowledge and skills in participatory methods and community development.

• GBV case management experience is desirable.

• GBV programming for women and girls and case management – essential.

• Deep understanding of the impact and dynamics of boys’ violence against women and girls, and solid grounding in feminist, women and girl-centered, anti-oppressive practice.

• Demonstrated relationship building skills with key partners including government, donors, INGOs, national and local organizations, UN agencies.

• Strong ability to respect differences of culture, opinion and lived experiences while upholding rights-based principles and women’s protection and empowerment.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, positive and professional attitude, ability to lead and work well in a team setting and with multiple partners.

• Strengths in listening, empathy, flexibility and creativity.

• Commitment to work and support implementation both direct and partner project implementation.

Purpose

The Senior Women’s Protection & Empowerment (WPE) Manager will lead the design, implementation, and oversight of WPE programming aimed at addressing violence against women and girls (VAWG) through full cycle of GBV response, risk mitigation, and prevention initiatives. This includes managing interventions in Women and Girls’ Safe Spaces (WGSS), Multipurpose Community Centers (MPCC), community-based activities, and government system strengthening, as well as providing technical capacity-building support to implementing partners. The role is central to ensuring the delivery of quality case management, psychosocial support (PSS), and survivor-centered services, while also advancing the implementation of IRC`s tested and evidence-based prevention approaches such as SASA! Together, EMAP Plus, Girl Shine, EA$E, and Safe at Home. Through tailored capacity development and supportive mentoring, the Senior WPE Manager will enhance the technical skills of IRC staff and partners, with a focus on case management, Women Rise (PSS curriculum) and community-led GBV prevention strategies. In addition, Senior WPE Manager will oversee project implementation to ensure alignment with project proposals, donor requirements, and IRC’s global WPE standards. This includes managing project budgets, ensuring timely and high-quality reporting, and fostering collaborative partnerships. The role will report to the WPE Coordinator and work closely with the Program Coordinator and other relevant teams to ensure seamless program delivery.
