Responsibilities & Context:
  • To encourage the formation of various committees and joint production committees, co-operative societies and welfare committees of the workers and to supervise their activities;  

  • To look after various facilities such as canteen, rest room, child care room, adequate toilet facilities, drinking water, etc. and co-operate with the workers in granting paid leave and to inform the workers about any leave and other rules and regulations;·    

  • To focus on worker welfare issues such as housing, food, social and recreational facilities in any organization of fair value in co-operative societies, health care system, educational opportunities for children, etc.;·      

  • To seek and recommend for the improvement of the working and living standards of the workers and their welfare and provide training to new workers, to improve the quality of education of workers and to encourage and nominate the authorities to participate in their training at technical institutes;·      

  • To provide necessary assistance and advice to the management and workers in the implementation of the provisions of the law in the organization and Maintain contact with the medical officer of the factory or organization for further medical facilities of the workers;

  • Take steps to develop worker and management relation and discussion with management & worker representatives on wages and condition of employment.

  • To take prompt action to settle disputes between management and workers and understand the views of worker and assist the management and workers in resolving the difference.

  • To bring the notice of authorities for expeditious disposal of any individual or collective grievance of the workers.

  • Establishment of connection and discussion to maintain cooperative relation between the factory authorities and the workers

  • To arrange various program like (Employees Appreciation, Cultural events, Sports/Athletic events, Motivational activities, Fostering workplaces and so on).

  • Any other task assign by management.
