Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitor the performance of all servers and provide technical support to systems analysts, application specialists and operations personnel as required.
∎ Install software, monitor and upgrade servers as required.
∎ Establish system management criteria. Develop, maintain, and monitor procedures and policies.
∎ Issue technical bulletins to inform users of system changes.
∎ Develop, implement, and maintain a security program for the protection of systems hardware, software, and data.
∎ Coordinate the development of a comprehensive disaster recovery plan, maintain the plan, and conduct periodic testing.
∎ Ensure all workstations are properly configured and operational for new hires or relocation.
∎ Install hardware and software and configure desktop systems, including telephones and personal digital assistants, under the direction of reporting Head.
∎ Monitor office systems and peripherals for proper operation. Schedule and monitor preventative maintenance and repairs.
∎ Create training materials and ensure training is provided in collaboration with Human Resources.
∎ Troubleshoot problems with desktop software. Escalate user problems as appropriate.
∎ Responsible for the selection, installation, operation and maintenance of the trouble ticket system.
∎ Establish the service level agreements for the Help Desk function.
∎ Establish the reports and customer satisfaction surveys for monitoring performance and ensuring the Help Desk function achieves its goals and SLAs.
∎ Setup and test Training Room equipment as required, including hardware, software, user profiles and access.
∎ Establish standard procedures and maintain the policy and procedure manual for this service.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ VMware Server, Esxi 5.5 and above, vCenter 5.5
∎ Storage services like Openfiler, NFS and iSCSI SAN with freeNAS.
∎ Strong knowledge on Win2k Administration, Security, ISA, IIS, DNS, DHCP, VPN, ICS, RAS, Terminal Service, ftp ,proxy and routing.
∎ Strong knowledge on Linux Administration, Security, firewall ( ipchanis and iptables ), routing ( static and dynamic ), DNS , WEB, Mail with web based email client, DHCP, ftp, Apache)
∎ NAT,IP,LAN segmenting and VLAN, Security, Access List, Leased lines with commercial routers like CISCO, Mikrotik etc.
∎ Medium Enterprise commercial Servers like DELL 4400 , DELL 1400 ,DELL 2400 etc.
∎ MultiLayer switches CISCO catalyst 3550 EMI/SMI, CISCO Catalyst 5500.
∎ Backup and restoration skills using technologies like Veam, Veritas, Netbackup ( Any one or more )
∎ Firewals like Cyberoam, Cisco
∎ Database administration like Oracle, SQL, MySql
