Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Statistics/Economics/Development Economics/Development Studies/Anthropology/Sociology.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 4 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To contribute to ensure appropriate knowledge management of UCEP Bangladesh’s programmes in line with organizational vision, mission, values and goals.
∎ To orient and develop capacity of relevant staff at central and regional level on research methodologies and knowledge management.
∎ To introduce necessary technology based tools for research and development and develop capacity of relevant staff in this regard.
∎ To contribute to develop systems for Big Data Management including acquisition, data analysis, data quality assessments and reporting for development of key organizational and programmatic documents (e.g. Annual Report, Monthly Monitoring Report, Budgets, Project Documents, Donor Reports, Case Studies, UCEP Bangladesh’s websites, social media, e-newsletter etc.).
∎ To contribute to develop and efficiently manage departmental budget.
∎ To continuously update in regard to latest (national and international) developments in Tech-based solutions for Research and Development.
∎ To conduct systematic surveys including baseline, midline and end line surveys, process monitoring, impact evaluations (internal and external), longitudinal studies etc. in collaboration with Programmes Department.
∎ To carry out systematic interventions for ensuring appropriate dissemination of program generated learning internally and externally (nationally and internationally) among relevant stakeholders.
∎ To identify strategic and critical areas for research and development; ensure conduct of research and timely dissemination; and develop necessary capacity of staff at central and regional level.
∎ To maintain necessary network at national and international level for Tech-based solutions for Research, Development and knowledge management.
∎ To visit all programs of UCEP Bangladesh and its other entities (UTI, UIST, USC etc.) as required.
∎ To coordinate with other departments and Regional Management Team for timely conduct of researches and share feedback.
∎ To represent UCEP Bangladesh in different national and international forum under the guidance of supervisor.
∎ Promote and contribute to ongoing efforts towards gender equity & equality, child/staff protection & safeguard, inclusiveness, accessibility and discrimination free environment in the workplace and operations/activities/plans. In applicable cases, ensure that necessary budget allocation is there and in KPIs these issues are reflected regarding employees under supervision.
∎ To maintain strict confidentiality of information, documents and other internal and external communications.
∎ To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the UCEP authority as and when necessary.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ 04 years of relevant professional experience including at least 1 years in mid-level management role in Research and Knowledge Management in a large organization.
∎ Excellent command of communication skills both in Bangla and English.
∎ Excellent computer operating skill & conversant with MS Office package, and trained in SPSS other research related latest software and tools etc.
∎ Demonstrated experience in research and operationalizing Knowledge Management system for a large organization, particularly using tech-based solutions.
∎ Self-motivated, adaptable and team player.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
