Job Context:
∎ Location: Based in Ramu team office under CARE Cox`s Bazar field office
∎ Duration: Duration of the Contract will be up to April 30, 2021

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility # 1: Develop and enforce environmental guidelines for quality monitoring:
∎ Developing, modifying and implementing the Environmental Mitigation Monitoring Plan (EMMP) and Climate Risk Management (CRM) matrix, Environmental Compliance Management (ECM) Operation Manual related to repair and refurbishment (R&R) work of multi-purpose cyclone shelters, road repair, plantation and all other activities of the project.
∎ Develop and maintain an environmental monitoring system, monitoring and reporting checklists, formats, prepare reports, and following up the ECM with documents as required and necessary.
∎ Collect and analyze multi-purpose data using spread sheet and verify the data through field visit
∎ Data review workshop with the PRERONA staff and minimize the errors
∎ Preparing a mitigation plan including environmental screening, mitigation matrix, monitoring scope, actions and recommendation as per the guideline of Environmental Monitoring and Management Plan (EMMP)
∎ Ensure that staff address ECM issues through using necessary tools and guidelines with the providing of operational guidelines, trainings and overall coordination and reporting; designing and facilitating staff, contractors staff and other stakeholders skill and capacity development training (i.e. Environmental Compliance Management Training - ECMT)
∎ Implement the environmental monitoring system, facilitate impact screening checklists and ensure reporting procedures especially the yearly Environmental Status Report (ESR).
∎ Ensures the preparation and USAID concurrence and approval of necessary reports periodically (i.e. Quarterly Report (QR), Annual Report (AR) and ESR). Guide and support field level environmental monitoring activities and field progress report preparing.
∎ Conduct regular environmental inspections to determine pollution level (air, water, soil etc.)
