Job Responsibilities:
∎ To contribute implementing UCEP Bangladesh's values, vision, mission and goals, and development of future strategy documents as needed.
∎ Contribute to analyze sectoral demand for skilled workforce and develop strategy for job placement programme of UCEP Bangladesh in line with ILO's "Decent Work Convention".
∎ Contribute to plan and develop job placement programme of UCEP Bangladesh and ensure its implementation incorporating the Social Inclusion Strategy.
∎ To assist in coordination of sectoral skills planning committees and ensure feedback sharing with TVET and skills development team.
∎ To contribute to establish private sector networks at regional and central level and ensure proper functioning of the employer's forum/council.
∎ To ensure industrial visits, attachments and apprenticeship for skills training students as required by programmes.
∎ To ensure decent employment and apprenticeship for the skills training graduates.
∎ To establish and maintain liaison with potential employers in finding decent employment as well as in ensuring their participation in various processes or forums involving employers to UCEP programming.
∎ To explore new partnerships and resource generation opportunities from the private sector, industries and others stakeholders.
∎ To assist to coordinate with employer's forum/council for gathering feedbacks, study findings, survey reports etc. and share the same with the respective colleagues with guidance from supervisor.
∎ To prepare job placement report of regions and ensure timely submission.
∎ To help in developing and effective M&E of job-placement program.
∎ To carry out necessary monitoring functions of the job-placement programme and ensure timely submission.
∎ To contribute to the development of trainee tracking system and ensure its effective implementation.
∎ To assist in research works and evaluations.
∎ To contribute developing innovative ways for ensuring quality/gainful employment.
∎ To assist in sample based cross checking on data quality.
∎ To contribute to develop quarterly report on Job Placement with case studies and share with SMT.
∎ To assist effective functioning of the Job Portal and maintain database.
∎ To assist in piloting new initiatives in relation to job placement programme.
∎ To prepare and share various reports of the job-placement programme.
∎ To share research findings with relevant team members.
∎ Contribute to facilitate sessions and prepare report of capacity development activities of job placement team.
∎ To visit regular programme at the field level and submit visit reports.
∎ To assist in developing and implementing modules for market and entrepreneurship development.
∎ To assist in developing and implementing modules for career counselling/guidance.
∎ To coordinate with CWRA team for identifying actual target group for skills development training.
∎ To contribute for development of proposals, business plans, business goals and other reports and documents.
∎ To contribute in setting and achievement of yearly business goals for the job-placement programme followed by setting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and to roll-out the goals and KPIs among job-placement staff.
∎ Manage, provide necessary guidance and capacity building support to direct and indirect supervisees.
∎ Regularly contribute to UCEP Bangladesh website, other relevant department as well as CEO's Office with updates success stories, case studies, announcements of events, achievements, relevant documents and information etc.
∎ To contribute to develop and maintain in UCEP Bangladesh website an electronic event calendar on ongoing internal and external training, workshops and other events related to programmes. This is to be updated on monthly basis.
∎ To prepare and present quarterly report for SMT on progress of programmes.
∎ To prepare budget of Job Placement programmes and guide its effective and efficient implementation.
∎ To contribute in developing skills training curriculum or module, training materials by engaging industry expert.
∎ To find strategies and implement it in promoting female's and PWD's access to employment/apprenticeship.
∎ To facilitate relevant training, workshops, seminars, Job Fairs and other events.
∎ Promote and contribute to ongoing efforts towards gender equity & equality, child/staff protection & safeguard, inclusiveness, accessibility and discrimination free environment in the workplace and operations/activities/plans. In applicable cases, ensure that necessary budget allocation is there and in KPIs these issues are reflected regarding employees under supervision.
∎ To maintain strict confidentiality of information, documents and other internal and external communications.
∎ To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when necessary.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ 4 years of relevant professional experience in TVET and Skills Development programme including at least 2 years in marketing job in a large service providing organization.
∎ Preference will be given to candidates having experience in job placement program.
∎ Ability to ride motorbike and must have valid license.
∎ Proficient in MS Office package.
∎ Excellent Communication skills both in English and Bangla.
∎ Self-motivated, adaptable, team player and passion for social development works.
∎ Willingness to transfer at any place where UCEP has its activities.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
∎ Age limit for the applicant would be 35 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications.
