Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in any discipline / B.Sc in Textile Engineering / MBA (Reputed University).
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ A Large Reputed Garments (100% Export Oriented Factory)
∎ We are looking for some experienced Senior Merchandiser for Woven with very strong factory sourcing with the ability to negotiate, execute and follow-up orders within given time frame.
∎ Must be well aware about Woven buying and production process.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that Sourcing, new product development and negotiation are of the highest quality so that the right products are delivered at the right price on time.
∎ Plan and follow up external factories for timely shipment
∎ Communication skill to deal with suppliers for raw materials and to be in house, space booking and delivery on time
∎ Work with internal departments to ensure quality, production and timely delivery of goods
∎ Follow up with factory/shipping company to ensure shipment move on time
∎ Follow up with commercial on correct shipping documents, shipment advice & payment
∎ Conduct weekly update meetings with Office Manager to ensure order is in Track
∎ Daily report to the management & thee buyer
∎ A close interaction with garments colleagues in the office.
∎ Should be able to understand buyer's comments and follow procedures for order fulfillment.
∎ Should be able to correspond with the buyers independently.
∎ Monitor supplier performance and provide inputs to the annual suppliers' scorecard
∎ Able to work in a fast-paced and high-volume business
∎ Understands the strategic business requirement of the organization and suggests new capability building based on market intelligence
∎ All other special job as assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 05 to 07 years of relevant experience
∎ An experience in any Multinational/ International Buying/ Sourcing Liaison Office is a plus
∎ Should have strong knowledge of costing and pricing of woven
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Merchandising, Production Management
∎ Must be able to travel to factories, buying houses when needed
∎ Must be have very good knowledge English read, write and spoken (Chinese & Japanese language will add as extra qualification)
∎ Must have basic application knowledge & skill in working with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Web browsing & e-mail corresponding etc.
∎ Must be organized, self-motivated and Service minded.
∎ Candidate should be hard working like young, energetic with an attitude to be self-driven, dynamic, result oriented, honest and responsible
∎ Ability to deliver & work under pressure
∎ Skilled as strong team member.
