Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Managing the entire merchandising process, from product development to order execution. You will be responsible for coordinating with various departments, customers, and suppliers to ensure the smooth execution of orders.
∎ Receive and review orders from customers, ensuring that all necessary details are provided. Coordinate with internal teams, such as production, sourcing, and logistics, to plan and execute orders effectively.
∎ Work closely with customers, designers, and the production team to develop garment samples and prototypes. Ensure that the products meet customer requirements, specifications, and quality standards.
∎ Conduct costing analysis, including material costing, labor costs, and overhead expenses, to determine the pricing of garments. Negotiate pricing with customers and suppliers to ensure profitability.
∎ Collaborate with the production team to create production plans and schedules based on order requirements and production capacity. Monitor the progress of production and take necessary actions to ensure timely delivery.
∎ Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that garments meet the required quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and follow-up on quality-related issues to maintain consistent product quality.
∎ Maintain regular communication with buyer, suppliers, and internal teams to provide updates on order status, production progress, and any changes or issues that may arise.
∎ Maintain accurate records and documentation related to orders, production processes, and customer communications.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with buyer by understanding their needs, addressing their concerns, and providing excellent customer service.
∎ Identify potential risks or issues that may impact order fulfillment, such as supply chain disruptions, production delays, or quality issues.
∎ Stay updated with industry trends, market demands, and new technologies in the woven garments sector.
