Responsibilities & Context:
Lead and oversee all financial and accounting operations of the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Develop and implement financial strategies, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures to support business objectives aligned with business goals.
Supervise the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and statutory returns in a timely manner.
Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies for audits, tax filings, and compliance matters.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and investment activities to ensure optimal financial health of the organization.
Mentor and lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Support strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial analysis and insightful recommendations to senior management.
Oversee ERP implementation and ensure effective utilization of accounting and finance modules tailored to the company.
Manage LC (Letter of Credit) operations, including documentation, coordination with banks, and compliance with international trade regulations specific to garments exports and imports.
Supervise inventory management activities, ensuring accurate tracking, valuation, and reconciliation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods in alignment with industry best practices.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or ACCA preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
In-depth knowledge of Bangladesh financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience in the garments or manufacturing sector is an advantage.
Proficient in accounting software, ERP and MS Office applications.
