• Experience: 10–15 years in yarn or fiber development with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of fiber properties (Recycle Yarn, cotton, polyester, nylon, viscose, aramid, etc.), spinning techniques, and yarn finishing.

• Hands-on experience with lab and pilot equipment for yarn R&D.

• Familiarity with yarn testing standards (e.g., USTER, ASTM, ISO).

• Proven track record of successful yarn launches or innovations.

• Experience with sustainable and biodegradable yarns.

• Exposure to technical or smart yarns (e.g., conductive, phase-change, or thermochromic yarns).

• Knowledge of textile simulation software (e.g., TexGen, USTER STATISTICS).

• Patent development or academic publication is a plus

Now, we are seeking a dynamic & energetic person to join us as “Senior Manager- R&D (Yarn Development)”. The candidate has to perform following responsibilities:

• Lead R&D projects focused on the development of new yarns (natural, synthetic, blended, technical) based on market trends and performance requirements.

• Oversee the entire yarn development cycle from fiber selection and processing to pilot trials and scalability in production.

• Evaluate and experiment with various spinning technologies (ring, rotor, compact, air-jet, core-spun, etc.).

• Collaborate with fiber suppliers, research institutions, and equipment manufacturers to source innovative materials and technologies.

• Conduct comparative analysis and benchmarking against competitor yarns.

• Innovate on yarn properties such as strength, fineness, moisture management, elasticity, flame resistance, antimicrobial finishes, etc.

• Work with QA, production, and sales teams to ensure seamless product introduction and alignment with customer specifications.

• Design and execute lab and pilot-scale trials; interpret testing data and troubleshoot performance issues.

• Stay updated with global trends in sustainable and functional yarns, and integrate eco-friendly practices into R&D.

• Maintain technical documentation, test reports, and specifications for all developed yarns.

• Mentor and lead a team of R&D engineers and technologists.
