Educational Requirements:

∎ Bachelor and Master's in Business Administration Major in Human Resource Management from any Govt. recognized university. PGD in HRM will get preference, and a minimum of 4 years of working experience in HRD in the Refugee context is essential.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review and update HR (Human Resources) policies as per local laws and best practices in the international NGO community. Ensure that staff are made aware of these policies and interpret them as necessary or requested by staff.
∎ Provide advice to staff and supervisors on various HR policies and best practices
∎ Oversee the recruitment, selection, and on boarding of all new staff including review of job descriptions, advertisements, screening of applications, interview, and selection process, reference checks, and contracting.
∎ Negotiate salaries with approval from the Project Team Lead
∎ Develop and coordinate orientation schedules for all new staff
∎ Prepare and update employment agreements ensuring that they are in keeping with local law and GK's practices.
∎ provide day-to-day administration of staff benefits and answer queries from staff regarding benefits
∎ Update employee status for payroll purposes.
∎ Compile payroll details every month and the changes thereof and liaise with the Finance office and/or accounting firm (if applicable)
∎ Work closely with employee's supervisors for Staff Performance Evaluation and take necessary actions (salary increase, promotions, reassignments, and separation of employee).
∎ Ensure effective administration of the performance management processes including appraisals after probation period, performance improvement plan (PIP) mid-year and end of year appraisals
∎ Draft and process staff and consultant contracts, including rate negotiation.
∎ Maintain HR database and Personnel files.
∎ Maintain up to date employee records in both electronic and hard copy files and ensure the files are complete and all required documentation is maintained in a confidential and secure manner
∎ Provide backstopping support to staff on the HR system including; updating staff records, timely approval of staff leaves and timely submission of monthly timesheets
∎ Handle employee grievances and coordinate all exit procedures for staff leaving GK project.
∎ Develop and implement employee wellness and work-life balance programs for staff.
∎ Assume other responsibilities as assigned

∎
∎ Carry out any additional assignment in accordance with her/his position entrusted by the management of GK from time to time and mutually agreed upon;
∎ Management may, at any point of time, modify this job description as it is deemed necessary in Gonoshasthaya Kendra's interests in consultation with incumbent and UNHCR.
∎ This position has possibility of extension depending on availability of funding and performance.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Strong writing skills in English & Bangla.
∎ Good organizational and communication skills.
∎ Ability to cope with stress working in the camp environment.
∎ Flexibility to perform other tasks and take initiative when required.
∎ Cultural awareness/sensitivity and empathy to the target population.
