Senior Garment Technologist will support through all stages of product development, from design to manufacture; carry out technical and quality control work to ensure the production process is aligned with buyer’s specification. This position will closely work with product development, pattern, sample and production teams.

Responsibilities: 

• Apply thorough knowledge on woven garments manufacturing process aiming at achieving optimum quality output efficiency using innovation and machine folders where required.

• Responsible for evaluating samples in terms of development, proto, fit, size set, jump size set, seal/PPS, along with feasibility study of product and risk analysis.

• Test fabrics for properties such as strength, color fastness and crease resistance.

• Find out and solve fitting issues during the initial pattern after getting requirements from the merchandising department.

• Responsible for reviewing construction, measurements, patterns, workmanship, fitting and on fit sample.

• Monitor and follow up size set activities, and adjust patterns where required and communicate with the production department regarding the pattern adjustment.

• Find out the critical processes and technical issues and solve them during the production process in coordination with Production, Maintenance, IE & Quality staffs.

• Manage sample inspection and sample approval by reviewing construction, measurements, patterns, workmanship, garments outlook presentation, fitting, on fit sample and size set.

• Complete the pre-production sampling process and handover style file for mass production.

• Monitor and solve technical issues raised by production team.

• Participate in PP meeting, review pilot run, and monitor mass production.

• Ensure quality improving work of different sewing operations and implementation in factory sewing line.

• Understand manufacturing capabilities and conduct factory production assessments.

• Responsible for all technical issues of garments; develop process to ensure quality and advice factories to follow.
