Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.
∎ Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and develop new partnerships for improved supply chain efficiency.
∎ Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to contractual terms.
∎ Plan and execute cost-effective transportation and logistics solutions to ensure timely delivery.
∎ Oversee warehouse operations, inventory levels, and stock accuracy to prevent shortages or overstocking.
∎ Optimize storage, distribution, and material handling processes to improve supply chain performance.
∎ Manage import/export documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
∎ Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government agencies to ensure smooth international trade operations.
∎ Monitor import duties, taxation, and compliance with trade regulations.
∎ Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize procurement and logistics expenses.
∎ Ensure all commercial activities align with financial targets and company budget constraints.
∎ Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and cost structures to support commercial decision-making.
∎ Streamline supply chain processes and introduce automation where feasible to enhance operational efficiency.
∎ Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations related to procurement, logistics, and commercial transactions.
∎ Assist in internal and external audits related to supply chain and procurement functions.
∎ Work closely with finance, production, sales, and marketing teams to align supply chain activities with business needs.
∎ Collaborate with key stakeholders to improve demand forecasting, supplier performance, and order fulfillment.
∎ Support management with reports and insights for strategic decision-making.
