Job Context:
∎ Location: Maheshkhali, Ramu, Cox`s Bazar Sadar
∎ Duration: Duration of the Contract will be up to April 30, 2021
∎ Reporting to: Technical Coordinator - DRR with matrix relation with Technical Coordinator, Shelter.
∎ Working Conditions:This is a field based position in Maheshkhali, Ramu, Cox`s Bazar Sadar upazila.Sadar`s union level.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 4 to 5 years of experience in capacity building related to community based disaster risk reduction, climate change, early warning etc.
∎ Knowledge in gender, youth and children focused approach to development, DRR and resilience.
∎ Experience working in climate change or DRR program is desirable
∎ Experience in in community mobilization and organizing learning sharing events involving community, practitioners and researchers and policy makers.
∎ Good communication, report writing and presentation skill in Bangla and English.
∎ Good interpersonal and team management skills.
∎ Gender awareness and a commitment to gender equality.
∎ Experience in maintaining stakeholder relations with local government, administration and civil society.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Should have good understanding of MS Office applications.
∎ Commitment to and understanding of CARE core values and principles.
∎ Demonstrated competency to work independently with minimum supervision.
∎ Willingness to live and work in difficult and rapidly changing conditions.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel and stay in the field.
∎ Ensure and Promote GEDI and be GEDI sensitive, creating an enabling environment where diversity can flourish and all staff and stakeholders experience inclusion and appreciation.
