Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or a related equivalent discipline (educational qualifications may be relaxed for candidates with substantial hands-on experience in the relevant field).
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in fashion design & marketing preferably within fabric or textile manufacturing environment.
Proven experience working with internationally renowned buyers specially in EU, USA, UK and Asian buyers.

Willingness to travel between factory and head office for coordination and development follow-up as required.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of woven fabric structures, yarns, dyes, finishes, and fabric performance·
Ability to interpret fabric technical parameters and convert them into fashion applications·
Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD tools, etc.)
Understanding of garment construction and fabric behavior in apparel·
Knowledge of global fashion trends and buyer expectations.

Job Context
Paramount Textile PLC is a woven fabric manufacturing company engaged exclusively in supplying international apparel markets. To meet the specialized design, technical and sustainability requirements of global buyers and to strengthen its fabric-driven product development functions, the Company intends to recruit a Senior Designer- Business Development who will be responsible for acquiring new buyers, developing existing buyer relationships and leading product design & development activities to expand the company’s international business footprint. The role combines commercial strategy, buyer management and design innovation to drive sustainable growth.
The role requires coordination between the factory and Head Office, involving close collaboration with production, R&D and marketing functions, to maintain competitiveness in the global textile market.
Job Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Buyer Acquisition
Identify, approach and onboard new international buyers (USA, EU, UK, Asia, etc.)
Develop and execute business development strategies to increase order volume and value
Represent the company in buyer meetings, trade fairs, exhibitions and virtual presentations
Prepare and negotiate price quotations, MOQs, delivery terms and commercial conditions
Monitor market trends, competitor activities and buyer demand
B. Buyer Development & Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with existing buyers to ensure repeat business
Act as a point for buyers regarding product development and order execution
Coordinate with costing, production and sourcing teams to ensure buyer satisfaction
Handle buyer feedback, complaints and corrective actions professionally
Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, quality standards and timelines
C. Design & Product Development
Lead design concept development in line with buyer trends and seasonal demand
Develop new styles, fabrics, colors and finishes in collaboration with design & sampling teams
Guide the preparation of samples, mock-ups and prototypes for buyer approval
Ensure designs are cost-effective, production-friendly and market-relevant
Work closely with sourcing teams on fabric, trims and material selection
D. Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with Marketing, Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams
Ensure smooth transition from design → sampling → bulk production
Support production planning by providing accurate forecasts and buyer inputs
Participate in management meetings and provide regular business updates
E. Reporting & Compliance
Prepare business development reports, buyer status updates and sales forecasts
Ensure compliance with company policies, buyer codes of conduct and local regulations
Maintain confidentiality of buyer and company information
