Job Context:
∎ The Cox`s Bazaar-based Cultural Orientation Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities of the RSC Cultural Orientation office in the Cox`s Bazaar office. The CO Manager is responsible for CO curriculum implementation in accordance with the guidelines provided by the U.S. Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), as well as assisting with curriculum development. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of CO Senior Trainers, CO Trainers, and CO Program Officer. This position ensures the accuracy of CO records in START through regular quality checks. The CO Senior Manager collaborates with partner agencies and NGOs on the ground, maintains close contact with the Program Support Coordinator, and reports to the CO and Training Coordinator.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Program Management
∎ Assist in developing and monitoring CO budget for overall program activities;
∎ Oversee CO training schedule to ensure time for class observations and team trainings;
∎ Ensure the accurate maintenance of START database records including CO scheduling, post-CO data entry, and perform quality control checks regularly;
∎ Conduct formal evaluations of CO classes;
∎ Communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with partner agencies including UNHCR, IOM, the Regional Refugee Coordinator's office, local government offices, and CBOs;
∎ Coordinate across departments to ensure CO scheduling aligns with all other processes;
∎ Assist with hosting visiting delegations and represent the RSC program as required;
∎ Assist in preparing reports for submission to the CO and Training Coordinator;
∎ Maintain close contact with the CO and Training Coordinator;
∎ Perform other duties as assigned.
∎ Staff Management, Training, and Communication
∎ Directly supervise Senior CO Trainers, CO Trainers, and CO Program Officer;
∎ Provide ongoing training and facilitate staff development activities;
∎ Conduct regular CO staff meetings to ensure clear, consistent communication with staff;
∎ Conduct CO training sessions directly as needed;
∎ Resource Maintenance
∎ Ensure the CO curriculum course content remains current and accurate through communication with other CO programs and the CO and Training Coordinator;
∎ Update and tailor curricula in coordinator with CO & Training Coordinator, including targeted lessons and messaging that address specific populations (i.e. unaccompanied refugee minors, urban-based populations, individuals living with disabilities, etc.)
∎ Develop and design the CO curricula and coordinate for translation as needed;
∎ Assist with development and implementation of IC materials as needed;
∎ Oversee the stock of CO materials and ensure the accuracy of CO inventory.
∎ Maintain a current understanding of the overall U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, resettlement issues and policies related to CO;
Additional Requirements:
∎ Program management and/or staff supervisory experience;
∎ At least 5 (five) years of experience in teaching/training adults, preferably in a refugee, or limited literacy context;
∎ Work experience in refugee resettlement processing is preferable;
∎ Experience in developing and refining teaching curricula and providing feedback to supervisor in order to improve curricula content;
∎ Ability and willingness to travel when required.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with colleagues, partners, and clients in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment;
∎ Solid organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, work independently, detail-oriented, set priorities, effectively manage time and staff, and meet deadlines;
∎ Proficiency in database management, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Google Suite; familiar with START preferred;
∎ Flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment;
∎ Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and regionally, including remote settings.
∎ Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
∎ Computer Literacy - high level of competence in Ms Office i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook.
∎ Proven advanced data entry skills with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and self-checking abilities.
